Another thread on this board recommended Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation. I've got rosacea and large pores. I bought the Revlon yesterday, just tried it today and I'm blown away by the coverage. My cheeks are 'normal' but my nose/chin are oily. I used my Mattify powder on the oily places and a plain finishing powder on the rest of my face and I was stunned at how little foundation I actually used, how well it covered and how well it lasted!! This has no sunscreen so I applied that first but it's a small price to pay for how happy I am with this product. I'll be continuing the use of this foundation - thus far, it's a keeper!!

"Jane Iredale's" pressed powder foundation. It covers well, does great in the heat and doesn't dry out your skin. It is good for your skin too.

I've been using the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream, too. I also use IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream. I like both of them very much. No rhyme or reason why I need two kinds - just nosy and like trying new things sometimes, I guess. Now you have me very drawn to the Lioele...I'm so tempted, but keep trying to talk myself out of it because I really have a good supply of BB/CC creams at the moment. I don't think I'm going to last. I already have one in my eBay cart. It's been sitting there for several days, I just haven't checked out yet.

You can always just try a sample . I ordered samples from the Texas website and then ordered my full size from a US seller on eBay. The colors are comparable to Missha. You should be able to wear the same shade in both. Nothing wrong with having more than one foundation:-)

You know I have one or two sample sizes of the Lioele left in shade #23. I'd be happy to send them to you if you'd like. Just let me know and I'll give you my email.

I have, but find I don't really need to. It's pretty amazing stuff. I don't know how they did it. Not shiny, not sticky -- good ingredients. And the shades are pretty forgiving. I got the Light/Med off eBay and it was just a HAIR too dark, but totally wearable. Got the Fair/Light from Supergoop (they sent me a sample) and that was more true to my "real" skintone, but since I'm working on some melasma right now, actually ended up ordering the Light/Med. So see? Very forgiving.

Glad you came back -- I was going to page you re: Alpha Hydrox. You mentioned you like the 14% Swipes. My question is -- do you rinse it off, or does it sink right in? I'd ideally like to use it as my toner, so would you say it's toner-like in it's feel? I see they also have what is almost the identical recipe in a liquid/lotion-type formula -- have you tried that?

ETA: I tried that Missha Perfect Cover and IT's CC cream, too. Really liked the Missha (in shade 21) but even though it has a high PA rating, found out it only has 3% zinc in it, so it wasn't for me. The IT's Fair was just light enough to puddle in my pores (better percentage of zinc, but not nearly as great as Supergoop's 20%).

I'd say the coverage of the Supergoop is comparable to those products, just FYI. I understand that I'm totally off the boards when it comes to sunscreen, and I'm sure both Missha and IT are perfectly fine for those who are sane. :-)

Also, the Fair/Light leans more toward the Missha 13, the Light/Med is a little darker than Missha 21, if I'm remembering correctly. What shades do you wear in those?

No, no, I don't like the Swipes. I don't care for the texture of the pad or the way my skin feels after I use them. It's been awhile, but I believe it had a bit of an oily feel on application. When it dried, I can't recall if it was still oily or if it was a little tacky - sorry, I haven't used it in a long time. I don't like the Intensive Serum either (not really a lotion type thing - apply with a cotton pad). They're both the strongest of the company's products, in their AHA percentage. If I were to use that strength, it would only be once in awhile. I've never heard of using either of them as a toner per se. My idea of a toner is to return freshly cleansed skin back to a normal pH . While both products have an appropriate pH to be effective treatments, they're a little "off" from the normal pH of facial skin. As for the rinsing, I think I've heard PTR discuss rinsing something of his off after a treatment waiting period, so I guess you could try it that way, if your mind is made up. And if it is, this would be the time to do it since Neoteric Cosmetics has their July sale going on right now. A word of caution though - If you're using any kind of AHA, such as a 10% treatment product or the 12% Souffle, anything else would be overkill. For me, I find that either the a 10% product or the 12% Souffle works fine. Right now, I'm using the gel because it's summer. In the winter, I'll go back to the Souffle.

Well, heck -- I wonder who it was who liked the swipes, then. I really don't want the extra step of rinsing off, was hoping for a toner-like that absorbed into my skin quickly. For years I used Stri-Dex 2% alcohol-free pads as my toner. I didn't have acne (maybe that's why!) but it was just the perfect texture. Maybe I'll try those again, although I'd prefer AHA over BHA.

I have been also looking lately after Bare Minerals powder foundation (in matte) started looking and feeling dry on my skin. I've also have sensitive skin with moderate rosacea. So far, I've tried

Estee Lauder Double Wear liquid--coverage is nice and it works with my combo oily/normal skin that is dry in patches. The color match was difficult to get and I am sort of stuck with a foundation that is a tad too pale (nothing else came close). However, it lasts hours and doesn't irritate my skin. The SPF is only 10, though. The finish is very matte.

Bare Minerals Bare Skin Foundation--I like the coverage because it's about medium for me. It doesn't irritate my skin and has a SPF of 20. You have to shake, shake, shake it before applying it. It comes in 20 shades, so I had no problem matching my skin. The finish is a bit dewy, but certainly fine with a bit of Bare Minerals original mineral veil. It lasts, but sometimes will transfer to clothing.

Avon--(yes, Avon) Avon Magix Cashmere liquid foundation. I had no problem finding a good color match because it comes in a lot of different shades. The shades run light, so go up a shade or two. It has an SPF of 15. It doesn't irritate my skin and has coverage that is about medium for me. The finish is neither shiny or matte and it lasts hours without any color transfer to clothing. I have no problem with oily puddling and it doesn't dry my skin out either. The best part--it costs $12 and if you buy two, the second one is only $6. I know, it's hard to believe, but it's true. The foundation has a very loyal cult following and I definitely can see why. I can't believe I have spent well over $30 or $40 on high-end foundations when this one is excellent. I mean that sincerely.

I think I'm going to have to try this one. I've been using Missha Perfect Cover and it's nice, but not perfect. I'm always looking for the perfect one. Does Supergoop have more coverage than Missha?

Revlon ColorStay Whipped Foundation - in glass jar. Comes in several shades, goes on very smooth, sorta like a gel - blends great and Lasts all day - even in very hot weather.

This stuff is great - Walmart, Walgreens - about $12
