Since foundation brushes are synthetic, they dry quickly. I use them for both foundation and cream or liquid blush. I wash the foundation brush after every use with the same baby shampoo I use for all my brushes. I leave it to dry on a folded washcloth, the handle propped at an angle against my sink. The one I use for cream blushes, I usually just wipe off. FWIW, I don't wear makeup daily.

I wash my brushes about once a week, sometimes two. In between I use 2 or 3 baby wipes and wipe them off very good. That works great for me.
