Re: First Aid Beauty disappointment

Hello all!  I recently placed my first order for First Aid Beauty products and I'm so disappointed.  The smell is very off-putting.  It's a cross between plastic and dust.  I ordered directly from their website and took advantage of the 60% off items.  I ordered several different products, face cleanser, serum, body moisturizer, etc.  They all have this smell.  My question is....Is this "normal"?

I guess I didn't do enough research before I placed my order.  I also found the products to be very irritating to my eyes.  I've been using Josie Maran products and they don't do this me, so I guess I'll stick with them.

Thanks in advance for your input Smiley Happy

I purchased the TSV this year and got the unscented. Did not notice an off putting smell but I read many reviews of the product here on the Q that did mention this. I would read the reviews under First Aid Beauty products.

the vanilla scent is gross----I ordered that one and am using it up . I also got the rosemary mint and the grapefruit, both of which are very pleasant.

Re: First Aid Beauty disappointment

I have super sensitive skin and use the Ultra Repair Cream and JM body butter. Their is no scent with either. I'm thinking that maybe you received old products. I've never had this problem and I react to almost everything. Regardless, discard the products and call customer service to advise of your reaction. I always figure that they don't know if we don't tell them. Maybe they will make good on the products. If not, then I guess it's time to find another line. It's always a disappointment and a frustration when a product does not work. Hopefully, you'll findone that does. .

Re: First Aid Beauty disappointment

@Catlady NicoleI bought the recent TSV in the grapefruit fragrance.  I like the fragrance but there is another more chemical underlying smell in it that I have noticed in some creams and lotions.  I won't be repurchasing, the smell is off-puttng when applying it even though it does go away after a while.

@Shepherd

There are so many!

My skin is super dry and I like quite a few drugstore products, the current favorite being Jergen's Nourishing Honey Body Lotion! This one surprised me because I normally do not like a scented product. I can use this on bumpy arms/elbows and they are smoothed out overnight. No flakes on my legs and my feet are baby soft. The bonus is that it keeps my skin moisturized for 24 hours. My skin isn't constantly begging for more moisture.

Other drugstore brands that are well loved are, CereVe and Eucerin creams or lotion. I also love Curel products. All have out performed First Aid Beauty by miles!

Oops, almost forgot to mention VaniCream!

Jacie, glad you found drug store moisturizers/lotions that work for you. We all have different skin issues. FAB is a drink of H20 for my skin.

Re: First Aid Beauty disappointment

Wow, just a few days ago someone was raving about FAB facial products and I had planned to order.  Glad I didn't.  For dry to very dry legs, arms, etc.,  Nivea Essentially Enriched Body Lotion with Almond Oil can't be beat.  As good as Korres Body Butter, my other fav.  Both very rich.
