@PrettyGerl wrote:So very kind to post pictures. Thank you so much for going to the trouble @suzyQ3 Going to check out all the palettes mentioned. I don't have a designated "matte" palette so something would like to have. Thank you again!
My pleasure, @PrettyGerl. Are you looking more for neutral matte shades like the two that I posted, or for brighter matte shades? Most matte palettes tend toward the neutral, but there are some that have a mix.
Really liking the neutral Too Faced palette you posted. Sometimes mattes idon't have the greatest blend ability. And sometimes a line can have a really great, several great palette, then another in the line sucks. Just been reaching for mattes a lot lately with different palettes so thought would spring for a designated matte.😊

In addition to the Too Faced Natural Mattes and the BECCA palette that SuzyQ3 mentioned, which I really like also, the Buxom singles are nice too. They have quite a variety of neutral mattes and you can select the ones you want and put them in the palette they sell to customize it.

Yes, mattes are tricky, and reviews can vary widely. In fact, I just saw one on YT that panned that TF palette I posted here. Sometimes it's hard for me to determine blendability these days because my eyelids aren't getting any younger. :-) But I don't recall having trouble with either of the two I posted. I'll double-check the Too Faced tomorrow morning, even though I do it wear it fairly regularly.
There is also a relatively new theBalm matte palette that is the third in its line. It seems to get very good reviews. They all have a "meet matt(e)" theme, with this latest one having a wedding theme. It's called "Meet Matt(e)' Nude Eyeshadow Trimony Palette (as in "matt trimony").

I have those two and I agree!! They are really nice. I also like one of the Tarte palettes that is mainly matte!

Oh wow, gorgeous! Re: YT, I was initially interested in the Tartlette matte palette out I think couple years back. Great reviews on Sephora, seem to love or hate on YT. Some say great blendability and color payoff, others just the opposite. LIke most things, have to try to know😊

I like the Urban Decay Naked2 Basics palette it's very nice but doesn't come with a brush. It's small enough to fit in your purse too. Another matte palette I like to use is Buxom Suede Seduction -- all matte shadows and brush is included.

Totally agree on both of the ones @suzyQ3 suggested. Too Faced is my latest favorite by far, and I love Becca too. I love Too Faced eye shadows and their Lipsticks the best!

Also, @PrettyGerl, I would like to add - the Too Faced neutral palette is very pretty and well made, something that makes you feel like a girl regardless of one's age. Pleasure to handle and perfect size to fit into any purse of make-up bag, without being too small. Just perfect size. Try also get their eye shadow insurance - the primer. I do not normally use primers, but this one rocks!
