I wasn't planning on going but a friend sent her pics & received an invite so I ended up sending an email (on 5/6; after the deadline..took a chance and it worked) with a pic and received an invite as well. Call time was 9am and I arrived at about 8:40am. I checked in, signed the release form and waited for my friend who arrived about 10 minutes after me. We submitted our release forms and got our goodie bags. The goodie bags (GR product) contained 16oz SAM CC, 2oz SAM SC, 2oz SAM remoist and 1.8oz SAM mousse. We mingled and chatted with others while waiting for Chaz and Candice to arrive. Weather was really nice..sunny and breezy. I remember telling the guy at check-in that I wouldn't be picked for a makeover...

They had a nice set up of beverages and food. They had a table for a few team wen members to discuss the product and answer questions...it was great seeing some familiar faces. There was a smilebooth and they had a drawing for a huge basket of wen goodies. There were a lot of us tweeting about the event which they encouraged and even retweeted or favorited tweets about the event.

They had us line up along a red carpet...they were shooting for wen 4...we did a few practice rounds before Chaz and Candice arrived....there was lots of cheering and clapping when they arrived. Chaz walked down the red carpet smiling at everyone...his mouth dropped open when he saw me and then again when he saw my friend (as she's a client of the salon too)...it was funny...he wasn't expecting to see me and his surprise and joy was obvious. After they walked up and down the red carpet they did it again but stopping and chatting with crowd members...asking about their hair, talking about the styling tools used,...etc. I did give a few tutorials after Chaz pointed out I was a client of the salon while he was talking to a potential makeover. He asked me how long I had been a client/using wen...to which I responded "7 years"...he spoke about my hair when I first became a client and the transformation he has witnessed. I must say it was obvious who used wen and who didn't!! Those picked for the makeovers were in excellent hands....There was quite a crowd at check-in and it did thin somewhat…I guess some left after getting their goodie bag. I can't remember how many got picked for makeovers...I would guess at least 10...

During one of the breaks from shooting, Chaz had a bottle of the 613 EDT and he sprayed it on my arm....it was breezy that day so when the wind would blow I would catch a whiff of 613!!! On my drive home I kept smelling my arm...I probably looked like a lunatic but who cares I was in 613 heaven!!

After the event my friend and I had lunch and then I dropped by the salon. I was in need of a new medium round brush…and seeing a brand new brush compared to my old one! yikes!!! I should have bought a new one sooner!!

It was a great day and worth getting up at 6am on a Saturday...I generally sleep until at least 9am on weekends

I didn't notice Chaz spraying the 613 EDT but it was crowded.

Why did you think that you wouldn't get a makeover?

If he's already her stylist and she's already a WEN user, I think it would have been unethical for him to use her as a Makeover example in an infomercial. It also wouldn't show the Before/After transition needed for an infomercial. She's already an After.

nope that wasn't me. I was about halfway down the carpet....

I think he was trying to be discreet with the 613 EDT...

I figured I wouldn't get picked because I already use wen so my hair is wen hair...no damage, no split ends...just shiny healthy hair

Everyone was very nice. However, this was a GR production and from what I was told, most makeovers were preselected by GR before this event took place. Unfortunately, many of the people Chaz selected did not receive a makeover.

Thanks Bruingirl and doglvr for sharing the experience with us. Glad I didn't push the issue to make the cross country flight though lol. Sounds like you had a great day and getting that spritz of 613, lucky girl! I cannot wait for that! Thanks again.

ChynnaBlue, Thanks for your opinion but if you look at Chaz's facebook page you will see that he used existing people who have used Wen for many years.
