I use a black orchid powder as my eyeliner (smudged a tad). It stays on and has a soft effect.

Blue eyes. I use dark bronze, chocolate, dark navy, dark green and plum. Rarely do black.

much like eyeshadows I love a selection of eyeliners so when Ulta was selling their own gel pencil liners for $1 each my daughter and I purchased every color! much to our surprise the most impactful colors were the silver and the pearlized white. while not super obvious they worked to highlight our eyes even though our coloring is very different. I have light eyes and I'm fair complected while my daughter has chocolate brown eyes and is much darker than my self. the only one that did absolutely nothing for me was the gold so I gave it to my co worker who is Pakistani and the gold had the same effect as the silver on us. even her ultra conservative mother was impressed when she went home wearing it

I have one very blue eye and one gray blue eye so I have to watch it with eyeliner colors. I use a softer grey or taupe, sometimes blue, but it has to be true navy blue.

Any dark color except black. It never reads blue or purple or green, though. They are just "softer."

I can no longer wear black eyeliner. Haven't for decades. I'm 65.

Dark brown or Darkish gray is okay for upper lid. I only tightline now. No longer actually draw on my lid above lash line. I also really love a Dark Olive. But for bottom I go even lighter in a coordinating color. I can wear an eggplant or aubergine tightlined on top too if it isn't too red.

I have dark honey blonde hair, olive green eyes and medium or light-medium skin tone.

I also have a big orange kitty, a Maine Coon rescue - best kitty ever! OK, Eyeliners; If you're darkhaired, you can get away with pretty much any color, Lucky you! But if you're Blonde like me, it gets a little more challenging. Black is too harsh, & those "party colors" are pretty much that, makes us look Partyish. Fine for Party, but what about Business, i.e., Day To Day? Browns, Copper, Taupe, Sienna, etc. are most flattering & fit the bill. Hope this helps you. Happy Experimenting!

I am an olive-eye fake blonde........use raisin or plum, tightline only (I'm kinda old!)

I have brown eyes and I have usually used brown, green and plum shades in gel formulations. I just found some eyeliners on ebay from Korea that are wonderful for the waterline. They are holika holika and they have beautiful colors that don't smudge and stay on all day. So far I have the Olive Jade and the Amber Brown, both which I love. My next one will be the black plum. They are also in the 5.00 range.
