We have a mixed family.  I'm Android and my husband is iPhone.  We both have Apple computers and I have an old Windows machine, like prior to the big change several years ago.  I refused to update.

@monicakm  That's so great that you have a pulse oximiter at home to monitor your heart rate- I'm going to get one like that on Amazon so that I can check my resting aerobics heart rate.  I remember how afraid I felt when you said that you had a heart attack- I prayed for you and checked your updates on here and I knew you were in good hands and I remember smiling when you said that you ordered a makeup palette during your stay- I tohught, "That's our beauty expert!".  I'm so glad that the ambulance got you in a short span of time and that was very smart of your husband to monitor you while on the phone with 911.  I hope you're taking it easy and that your heart is doing well!  We all are big fans of you on these QVC forums!

@monicakm  Ooooh I like that painted elephant phone case! Very glamorous and colorful and I like the little circular hand holder attachment too! I bet you get a lot of compliments on that one when you're out and about on your phone  My phone cases are all Hello Kitty phone cases with different shades of pink and hearts and Hello Kitty all over them .  When I had my police background investigation interview, I powered my phone off and put it on the table and it was a super hot pink hello Kitty phone case- I wonder if that was the first job applicant he's seen with a Hello Kitty phone case?

Hahaha it had to have been ! And get this- when he asked me to show him my driver's license, I took it out of my glittery pink leather Coach zip card case and attached to the key ring was a big pink stuffed animal Hello Kitty keychain!

@monicakm   Hahaha I'll definitely have to use something bigger than a Hello Kitty plush keychain suspect to whack a bad guy pver the head- maybe I can throw a Too Faced makeup palette at his forehead?   Thank you! You're a hoot too and I really enjoy your sense of humor and all of your beauty lessons and tips and the photos of cosmetic packaging that you post are so nice! 

I found a photo online- here's what my glittery pink leather Coach skinny mini ID zip card case looks like! I loved these when I worked at Coach- I own them in a couple colors thanks to my employee discount that I had .

@monicakm  I almost exclusively use the Mac.  In fact, I often have two of them going at the same time.  

The Windows machine only has two purposes.  One is an embroidery software that runs natively on XP.  The other is pattern drafting software that they have told me has no plans to stop support for my version. 

I used to also do stuff for the Church on it, but I originally was running Windows on my Mac using Parallels.  However, after an OS update, it would no longer run without updating Paralells, so I figured if I was going to spend the money I would just buy a cheap Windows machine instead.  Stuff was a little buggy on Parallels anyways.

@monicakm @SportyShorty07   I'm sure you've seen the Kardia Mobile commercials?  Many years ago, the Space & Rocket Center had a hands-on area.  One of the displays had two damp sponges that you could put your first 2 fingers on and it would show you an EKG.  My father could even see his skip.  That's the first thing I thought of when I saw those commercials.  Me, however, when I put my fingers on the sponges got a straight line.  We even did it twice each.  His was perfect; mine was a straight line.  I kinda wonder what I would get with the Kardia Mobile, LOL.

@monicakm   It was definitely a win-win to work at Coach, and now I have a big collection of purses and accessories from when I worked there!    I love Coach!  I had to really reel in my Coach purchases though- the first month I worked there I think I purchased 4 purses and multiple small leather accessories in that month- that's what happens when employess get 50% off everything and additional discounts on items that were on sale  .

@Icegoddess Oooh! I saw a commercial on TV the other night for the super slim Kardia Mobile device and its the size of a credit card- and only $99 for that device! I wonder why yours got a straight line? They should cast you for the commercials or do studies on why the reading was a straight line- maybe you have magical superpowers- That's interesting -two attempts and you had a straight line reading!  The Space and Rocket Center in Alabama looks fun- it reminds me of when I went to the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland for a college field trip!

@SportyShorty07 I wondered if I maybe had a circulation issue, but I now get a physical every year and they hook me up to something that measures my circulation to my extremities and it's fine.  I do get cold hands and feet though and my Doctor has suggested I have a mild case of Raynaud's, but not severe enough to warrant medication and possible side effects.  

I don't know if it's just me or if it's everyone, but I've found I can't use my cell phone when my fingers are cold.  It's like there's not enough friction.

@monicakm It's not just for A-fib. They specifically state tachycardia and bradycardia too.  I would probably be considered bradycardia but that's just my normal heart rate.  My doctor did think I had a heart problem when it got down to 39 bpm, but it turned out I was hypothyroid instead.  Basically, I have the metabolism of a slug.
