This sounds dumb, even to me, but here goes!!
I've been using eye makeup for eons, however, I recently had to stop due to an eye infection. This caused me to re-think my application.
I had been putting on my eye makeup in the same manner since I've been about 30 years old and I'm now 61 ---- hmmm, time for a change!!!
So, here's what I'm asking....
I have never in the past worn mascara without wearing eyeliner (top and bottom) and eye shadow. I'm now thinking, perhaps I need to lighten up and wear less products. Maybe no eyeliner???
When I now attempt to apply mascara (my eye lashes are now very skimpy, thin and wonky --- go this way and that, and are very pale), I end up getting the mascara on the lash line in little bits and it looks messy. I guess I never noticed it before because I always had liner that went over it. How do you address this issue?
Also, if you don't wear liner, does it look o.k. to wear shadow without it?
Another question --- do you apply your shadow first and then the mascara --- or the other way around?
As you can tell, I am grasping at how to apply eye makeup now. I need to learn how to do it for mature eyes. I want a polished look - but easy, too.
Thanks!
