How do I keep my eye liner from ending up creased on my top eyelid? I feel like my eyelids sweat or something lately and my liner is leaving a mark.

Try finding an eyeshadow in the same color as your eyeliner (dark brown, black, etc), then after you apply your regular liner, use a fairly stiff slant brush and go over your liner with the shadow to help set it and keep it in place.

I've even seen eyeliner fixatives which are applied over your liner to keep it in place and waterproof it.

I use English Ideas Liner Last, works like a charm, just run brush over your liner.

If your lids are oily you need something for which the liner to adhere.

A primer, layer of powder liner first applied with your choice of liner brush.

You can just barely wet a shadow liner brush. I go right into the edge of the shadow palette not to mess up my eyeshadow.

Sometimes I do the shadow base first, then go over with a mechanical liner like Tarte Amazon which I love. Sometimes I do it in the opposite order.

But normally I don't have the problem of liner traveling. Hope you find a good solution.

Shelbelle - This sounds interesting. What exactly is it? Where do you purchase?

I used to travel to Houston quite often where it's terribly humid. That's when I have problems with my liner not staying put.

Normally it's not much of a problem.

First I use a lid primer from e.l.f. which helps my shadow stay on, then once my liner is on I use e.l.f. Makeup Mist $ Set. ($3!) I close my eyes, lightly mist my lids, and keep them closed while I fan my face to dry the mist. I then use e.l.f. High Definition Powder ($6) dusted over lids & face to set. I then finish with mascara. I have hooded eyes and live in super-humid Georgia and I swear this works. I used to use Urban Decay Setting Spray which was great but costs $26, e.l.f. works as well if not better. ~~~~~another tip if I'm going for a deeper, smokey eye look: do the above (prime, shadow, line, setting mist, hd powder) then go over the already set liner with a powder liner or eyeshadow of the same color, use the setting mist again then let dry and apply mascara last. I hope this is helpful. :-)

I use some of the same recommendations.

First, I use an eye primer before adding my eyeshadow. Then I line my eyes with whatever eye pencil. And use a small thin brush to 'set' the eyeliner, with a swipe of eyeshadow in the same color over the eyeliner. The eye shadow primer and eyeshadow to set the eyeliner has just about eliminated creasing and traveling for me.

It is just a clear liquid, comes with a brush, and you just run it over any and all liners, even on bottom . Right now the only place I can find is on Beauty Rose. Fragrances Paradise has it for less money, but they are out of stock right now. I have been using it for several years now.

If you have a Dillards near by, check there. I know I saw a small counter in the makeup dept that had a few of these helper type aids (not long ago) although not sure if it was the English Idea brand or not. At one time, they did carry that brand because I bought some there.

Can always try googling and check too with Nordstrom's as they may have it somewhere, even if not at every store (1-800-7-BEAUTY is their beauty hotline)

I always use an eyeshadow primer (I use Urban Decay) and that keeps all my eyemakeup in place all day.

My eye liners are mostly bare minerals, both loose & ready. They never travel at all, even when I forget to remove my eye makeup before an intense workout.
