Re: Exfoliant recommendations?

I just use a bar of soap and bath gloves ... works for entire body and doesn't leave a mess in the tub/shower.

Re: Exfoliant recommendations?

There are several I like for my face:

Alpha Hydrox Intensive Serum
Cure Aqua Gel
Emminence Organics Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant
Skinn DermAppeal
Skinn Tranlucense Resurfacing Concentrate
Fleur de Lis Rice Enzyme Powder

Please refrain from the kind with crushed nut shells or pits (St. Ives for instance) as they actually create microtears in the skin.

For the body - sugar scrubs or a salux cloth

Aluminum oxide crystals are not that good either. They have sharp edges. Here's a pic up close:

If anything is good to use on the skin it probably should be smooth and rounded like silica particles found in natural clay...bentonite or kaolin.

@TX-starlight,      I have been using for several years alba Botanica hawaiian facial scrub with pineapple enzymes.  It does the job without harsh chemicals plus it buffs and clean pores with mild buffing.  Under $10.  Target carries this brand but not sure if the product.  I buy mine online.  Cat Very Happy

I've been using Paula's Choice since 1995.  Love her 2% Resist BHA and her AHA.  Also, my other favorites are her serums.  Sign up for her email and you will get offers for free shipping, maybe 15 or 20%.  Products are guaranteed for 60 days if they don't work for her.  I'd suggest calling for free samples.  Don't use anything in jars or what contains gritty substances that will hurt your skin.

@Greeneyedlady21....

Simple Miceller water works great to remove mascara and I use this a lot. It is a gentle product and mascara removers with oil in them sometimes irritates my eyes (tears). If I have waterproof mascara on I like the Lancôme makeup remover. I rarely wear waterproof mascara anymore unless I am going to the beach or pool.

Re: Exfoliant recommendations?

@NativeJax Thanks so much for that recommendation. I've never tried Miceller water, have been curious about it. Now I am using the Campanelli microfiber towels from QVC to remove all my makeup, including eye makeup. I love them.

Re: Exfoliant recommendations?

There is a pretty good sale at Walgreens right now. I signed up for their beauty enthusiast rewards program and they also email you coupons. You earn double the rewards and it works on all beauty and personal care items.
