I am interested in the upcoming Friday presentation of Evd Pearl foundation.

i am fair to light with a definite cool/pink undertone. Cannot decide between the fair and light. If anyone has purchased one of these 2 shades could you please comment on the color intensity and undertone. It Cosmetics is too light in fair and too yellow in light.

tia!

I have no idea, but watched the video to try to decide which shade I might be.  I am light to medium, warm undertones and picked Light.  Joy was wearing Light and I usually am about the same shade as Joy (the model).  Not sure if that helps or not.

Hi Woodie, Maybe you could post this question in the Today's Special Value forum. Eve Pearl has a post there for a chat on Friday. I'm sure if you ask this question, they can answer it for you on Friday.

I have noticed with most of the beauty brands sold here on QVC that the foundation shades tend to be similar in undertone - i.e., fair often works on those with either a neutral or pink undertone while Light is usually described as having more of a warmth undertone ( warmth indicates more of a yellow base.)  I have not heard one single vendor describe the undertones for the shades light/mediums or just medium which they all claim is what shade works for the majority of women.  My guess is that they avoid any undertone reference for them so it won't scare away those who know for sure that they need either a cool or warm based product.  In describing the Tan and Deep shades however, they usually go back to adding warmth again when they describe.

I really really listen in when I happen to catch any new foundation release being presented (or on the video) because I can't wear anything with even a slightly warm or yellow undertone and with the exception of BM (BE) who offers so many more shade options than any other brands sold here, I have personally never heard any vendor use the word "cool" beyond the Fair shade.

I am generally either a light/medium or just medium and have yet to find any of the foundations sold here that works for my strong cool toned skin.  Am not much of a foundation fan anymore as it is but it would be nice to at least have something on hand that I could use from time to time.  I know I will have more luck with the lines sold at the better department stores but just have not taken the time to get color matched in a long time.

My skin is also so dry that most foundations don't perform well on that score either but am sure if I really put the time in, I could locally find something that would possibly be a good contender on both counts.

I did watch Eve Pearl do a brief demo with Sandra recently (it was not a full presentation that I saw) and did not care for the shading method she used - just not something that appealed to me at all so luckily I am not at all tempted.  I have also given up on any brand that only offers 5 or so shade choices because I know they will not work for my skin tone.

I have read positive things about the Eve Pearl line however.  I just wonder if the products in the TSV will be of the same quality as her retail line is known for.  QVC tends to push vendors into lower price points hence forcing them to substitute some ingredients just so they can make some kind of profit.  That is not meant to say or imply that is occuring with the Eve Pearl products however.

I have no clue if that might be the case with Eve Pearl's lineup so please don't make that assumption on my general speculation.  I just know it does happen with some brands.

Happy Daze - I am really sorry that I didn't happen to hear if the Woosh line was cruelty free or not.  I would almost make the assumption it is as most new respectable brands realize the importance on that issue but since I didn't pay that much attention to the presentation, I can't say either way.

I guess I assume that better brands know how sensitive the majority of the public is to products having to be cruelty free these days but then again, I am also unpleasantly surprised sometimes by who still ignores that reality.
