Kat.... I wanted to mention that based on your recommendation, I bought some of the E.L.F. foundation. It is a great foundation and I really liked it except the color was really funky, so had to return it. Too bad they don't have more color selection. Also, the Zum soap you recommended some time back....I am hooked on it.

cat,  Thanks.  Too bad about e.l.f.  I have the lightest shade and if I was very fair it would not work but I was impressed with the finish of the foundation.  Yes, Zum soap is excellent -- never dries your skin.  It's my hand soap in the bathroom.  One more product I found to be excellent for my skin is Marula oil and I use acure organics brand for under $20. It keeps my skin balanced -- normal, never dry even in the winter months. You are so right -- I enjoyed the presentation/application too.  It's about time the models are not wearing makeup so you can see what the product looks like.

Thanks for starting this thread, KatCat.  I saw some of the presentations and I was also intrigued.  I'm seriously considering the Sweet Cheeks blush trio.  I love the colors, but can't decide if it's really worth the money.  Guess there's no way to know except try.  On the fence..

vac, I was interested in the blush too but did you see how small the container was with the blush in it?  Not worth $30+.  Sorry but I can't give my money away.

Hi @Katcat1 I purchased the Acure Marula oil based on your rec. also. I have not received it yet but will let you know how it works out once I do!

I ordered the Eve Pearl blush also, I have seen her presentations before but had never tried any of her line.

Kat...I only use Zum for washing my hands as well. It is so moisturizing and smells wonderful.

Ladies....keep in mind that when you buy products from well known makeup artists/celebs, you are paying partly for the name. There are many less expensive products out there that work just as well. It depends on your needs and budget. I am retired and on a fixed income, so don't wear as much makeup as I used to and don't spend as much as I used to when I was working.

As far as products I am fond of, my favorite IT product is the Celebration Foundation. It goes on quickly, covers well, and eliminates the need for a eye lid primer and concealer. I like that it is multi-tasking.

cat,    You are so right about being on a fixed income.  You have to cut corners somewhere.  I was fortunate to get 20% off of Josie's Matchmaker foundation and I had a defective one and because of that I was sent 2 bottles for free.  I appreciated that. I also like Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer but it is pricey.  She keeps raising her prices too.

Sunny,  Please let me know if it works for you.  I use it only at bedtime or sometimes a couple of hours before after I cleanse my face.

Re: Eve Pearl -- Comments, please

I have used her HD foundation for a few years and I have many different formulas  and different brands in my arsenal that I like to switch around.  Her's is the best IMO.  I love the color, (neutral and not too yellow like IT).  You can literally put it over anything and no caking.  Her concealer is fine, but you can't use too much or it will cake.  Her blush is good and brushes are wonderful.  I have usually bought off her website when she has her "Black Pearl" sale and prices are slashed.  I always have a spare foundation since I don't want to run out of this one and I have never said that about any other foundation I have used.  BTW I am almost 70!

You're absolutely right.  I ultimately decided not to order it and I don't regret that this morning!

Re: Eve Pearl -- Comments, please

I ordered the hd foundation duo back in June (brush and sponges included.). You control the sheerness with the moisture in the sponge.  I really liked the foundation, but I went through it too fast. Lasted only a month, so for that reason I will not reorder.
