Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation

Think I have found a new favorite foundation.  Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue with spf45.  Granted, today is my first day using it so this is definitely a first impression.  Got it in the shade 1W1 Bone and it's a pretty good match.  EL Double Wear foundation does get darker on me a few minutes after application so am assuming this one will also.  Coverage is great, more on the full side.  Blends easily with a dampened sponge or a brush - used the BK Beauty 106.  Did use a primer but I do with all foundations no matter what kind it is.  Just looking at it in the bathroom mirror, it looks really nice.  Checked it with my magnifying mirror and it still looks nice.  Won't get a long wear out of it today because I didn't put it on until 2:00pm but I'll get at least 6 hours out of it before I take it off, which is pretty good.  Keeping fingers crossed it still looks good this evening.

Anyone else use this foundation?

@JudyLI always wear fresco in the estee lauder double wear, I was in the store when I bought the futurist and she matched me.  I can't find the container because I am using the regular double wear now.  If I find it I will let you know, it seems like she didn't match me with fresco this time.

Yes I just discovered this foundation too and I love it. I would say its medium coverage but buildable. It has a lovely consistency that's not heavy. It's texture is different than any other foundation I've tried; thin but not whimpy.

Re: Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation

@JudyL , yes, I had that foundation...unlike you...I hated it!!  Go figure how we're all different.

I found it needed alot of blending and it pilled like crazy no matter what I used under it...especially sunscreens.

I got the lightest shade, as always and if I remember right, it leaned on the yellow side.  I tried and tried to work with it because it's expensive, but then I gladly threw out...it was like a relief to get rid of it.

I've found a few drugstore brands that I'm surpringly happy with.  I still look at the high end ones...always thinking ill find better...lol.

Enjoy yours!

Re: Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation

@monicakm ...im the same...I dont like anything too heavy, but like some coverage.

Since you mentioned tints...I recently bought Loreal Serum Tint, spf 50...this product is really really nice. Covers and has a healthy glow, dew...not shiny though.

I only wish it had a more cool tone, pink...because I'm fair with pink undertones.  But very little is needed so im ok with it.

Re: Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation

I have it, and find it to be more full coverage and heavy.
i liked the spf #, but don't reach for it very often. It does cover my dark spots pretty well, when I need to look more professional!
