I agree, I too might have gotten the mani alone.

I would have liked to try the Emjoi Mani but don't want another Emjoi Pedi. Especially don't want the battery operated one. I have had the corded version on my list to buy since I bought the TSV 2 pack battery powered Emjoi Pedi Q sold last year. They have the Mani on sale on their EmjoiMicroMani site online for $40.

I think a better idea would have been to offer an either/or choice for a lesser price.  I have two micro pedis already too.  I was slightly interested in the mani but had some reservations at the same time.

I have a Ruby nail file system from HSN that gives me that shiney, buffed look to my nails and it is super easy and fast to use.  I think I paid about $15.00 for it.

I believe they sell these electric manicure sets in Sally Beauty Supply.  I too would think overusing this would thin out your natural nails.

I think they recommend you only use the step 1 once every couple of weeks.  I guess you could use the buffer as much as you like.  I only have one nail that is ridgy.  The rest are pretty smooth.  I might check out the Ruby system.  Does it give a good shiney look to them?  How long does it last?

After reading reviews of the mani, it seems those little rollers don't last very long at all.  It may be people are pressing too hard, but it is a consistent comment.

I didn't use it much before going back to acrylic nails.  It did give my nails a good shine but I bought a 4-sided buffer from a mall kiosk that was a lot cheaper and I felt it gave better shine.  I don't recall that high shine lasting all that long.
