To those who responded to my post - I think you missed the important point I was trying to convey.  I, too use some skincare products, just not as many as some people.  But that was not what I was trying to get across.  I was trying to ask people to not use products that have been produced through the suffering of helpless animals, who are tortured and killed so that some companies can make millions of dollars when in truth these products can be made without testing on live creatures.  That's all. You can choose to do what you have to do.  It's just my opinion.

@Misty928   I get it. Cruelty free is a choice for skincare, but then you'd need to check other items like makeup, toothpaste, deoderant, body lotions and soaps, non-prescriptions medications, etc. It's a full time job looking at each ingredient and doing the research.

It is time consuming to look for cruelty free but worth it. And maybe not always 100% possible but I like to keep trying.

@Misty928, I definitely got your main point and really appreciate it.

And for those who think it is just too hard or overwhelming to try, I have noticed that more and more companies are going cruelty free and I believe that is from the demands from many all over the world and also refusing to buy especially products that are not necessarily a need and where cruelty free alternatives can be had. As are make-up and skin care for example. Even dish and laundry products, handbags, shoes, etc etc!

So every effort does make a difference!

We can't imagine testing on our own loving pets, so just imagine it on any. There really is no need to do this anymore. We can become a more humane planet!
