I find the story behind this line hard to believe. What man who is diving for and comes across the sunken boats has the thought to create a beauty product???

I don't care what they say (J. Maran, Algenist, all of them). I don't watch them anyway. I just love what Elemis (the night oil/cream, pro-definition) products have done for my old skin. Don't know why they work for me but will continue to use as long as they deliver good results.

You don't believe that Denis found the seeds for his Tweaked shampoo formula 15,000 feet up in the Himalayas?

I don't know about the Elemis story, but there are health & skin benefits in algae, so it is not that far-fetched to me.
Maybe they were seeking out how to use that as a skin ingredient all along.
If I didn't already have moisturizers that I love, I would try the Marine Cream. I know some are put off by the fragrance. Is some of that from the mimosa? But I did see added fragrance in the deck, so, I do not see why that is necessary.

Remember Ojon? The restorative cream that came straight from the Amazon? Well, I believed that one and it worked. Sadly it is the only thing that has worked on my hair and I've never found a good replacement. So when they tell some tale like Josie Maran does I'll give the product a try. I'll also try something straight out of a laboratory. What works is what counts with me.

@appm sometimes it does pay off to be old enough to remember we bought all kinds of items very successfully without once even wondering one bit about the story behind them.
even now, I use the Internet, the shopping channels, and
a bit of social media like these forums to learn what’s available to buy, but available doesn’t mean it’s something I have to have or even want to have.
Up to 2020, I thought I had limited my shopping quite a bit already, but now I know I had hardly begun. Now I believe I will be one of the shoppers I heard an economist discuss recently - he believes one long-term effect of the pandemic could be somewhat like that of the Great Depression with some people limiting elective spending for a very long time. I am certainly there for 2021.

Remember Essence of Time from the peet bog and the man who was centuries old, sold on HSN for years. At one time Cathy Kangas from Prai was the rep.

@shaggygirl - Which story is the most appealing - The Denis story, the Josie story, or the Beekman story?

Well between the 3........oh wait......somebody upthread mentioned a peet bog.....doesn't somebody on the Q have a peet bog story as well? Peter Thomas Roth maybe? Which would make it a choice of 4. I'll pick Josie because at least she's cute. Plus you never know what she's going to be wearing...or almost wearing... that can add interest to her presentations.
