Re: Eating My Words Re Hourglass Primer

I know it's not the purpose of this post but now you have me rethinking the Mai Tai blush, @JudyL   🤷‍♀️

@JeanLouiseFinch  - I love it.  Didn't think I would because of how it looked in the pan.  It's a soft coral but not an orange coral.  Has a slight peach tone to it.  Good summer color but I'll wear year round anyway. Paired it with a Laura Geller peach jelly balm and it looked good.  Not an exact match but went well with it.

Re: Eating My Words Re Hourglass Primer

This primer is nuts!  It's now 5:30pm and I put my makeup on at 9:30am.  Just went and checked it and it still looks good.  A little shiny in spots but the foundation isn't cakey or dry looking, the blush is still looking good too.  Wow, I may have found my new primer even if it is a bit expensive.  I'll try some of the ELF primers that I have but think I'll be reaching for this one more often.

This has nothing to do with makeup - I'm jealous of the temps where you live! It's 98° 100° here with almost same humidity. My A/C is running and I see 💲 flying away.

@Midmod  - I am so sorry it's that awful where you are.  I grew up in So. Calif near Palm Springs and our summers were always over 100 degrees for months.  Hated it.  Was so glad to get out of that heat.  The warmest months and our "summer" here in the Bay Area is usually end of August through mid-Oct. I'll be complaining about the heat then, trust me.

@JudyL Just curious...did you use a setting spray the first time you used the primer? I was just wondering if that might have made a difference. I was thinking just the other day that I should use a setting spray to mattify my foundation.

@LuvSoCal  - That's a good question.  I don't remember although I usually do use one.  But I know when I first tried this primer, at that time I was not using the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray.

I would never mislead you 😉🙃

And guess what I did today for my trip to the city in the 94 degree Heat... I accidentally skipped my hourglass primer.  Had my Foundation dotted on my face when I spotted the primer from the corner of my eye. I contemplated wiping off the foundation and starting over again. I didn't start over again (sigh).  I'm so happy it worked for you!

That's what I was thinking about her temperatures also. The real test is in 100° weather. We won't see highs in the low 70s till end of November I guess

@monicakm  - I know you wouldn't mislead me.  Today I'm trying it with my Doll10 foundation.  Have a couple other foundations that I'll try it with and see how I like it.  Was feeling frustrated with my foundations not looking good.  Now I'm beginning to think it was the primer I was using, not the foundations.
