Hi Ladies! What do you think about using ESSENCES? I have been using Tatcha for years and it is pricey. Just wondering if it's worth it or should I skip it. Or does anyone use a different essence with results.

@bronxgal1 , I have used the Essence and also have a couple of bottles srashed away.Not sure if I am seeing any difference. Getting a little discouraged with Tatcha prices. I believe com was sold and prices like everything else are getting higher. Have always used THE RICE WASH gratitude size.(Combo skin) but has not recently been offered.Offering sev. new products Lip mask etc. not really interested Before com was bought they offered a few % off on some products on their site. I have not received any notices lately. Also, not on 1 hour programs on Q which I always enjoyed. Have you any inf about the com? THANK YOU, SLIGO

I like essences/toners, to keep my face moistened while layering other serums and moisturizer, with the hope and understanding that a moistened face will help other products to penetrate better.  In the morning, I use one with green tea and I also use a true rose water.  At night, I use one with propolis.

I also use essences that are more like a lightweight serum - a peptide one, a galactomyces one, and a snail mucin one.

@bronxgal1  - I use essences/toners in the morning and evening.  In the morning, I use a CosRx essence and a HaruHaru hydrating toner.  In the evening, I use another CosRx essence.

I work for Shiseido and we have Eudermine which has been around for about 100 years. They update the formula every so often. I think Tatcha rips off Shiseido in a sense it just seems they market the same way.

I bouight the Skinn Essence and one from Beauty Spy with roses but not tried yet.  HSN had a new one last night on Beauty Report from Beauty Spy made with Snail Mucin.

No, I don't bother with an essence.  I never was a fan of toners either.

I went though a bottle or uber expensive SK II and felt it was a total waste of money, no discernible change. I was the fool who was parted from my money!

@monicakm I have moved past the essence phase! Pared everything down to super simple and didn't need that step!

If I had  a few or more serums to layer then yes I would probably use an essence. But I only use two serums so I don't use an essence.
