I had a black-handled, flat-head foundation brush from ELF that I used to swirl on cream foundation.  After a month or two, it started shedding like crazy and I always ended up with black bristles on my face.  Tossed it.   (sorry, that's not helpful, is it?)

Sorry the Elf Pro brushes didn't do it for ya...for 3 bucks a brush, I have found them to be well worth the cost over brushes I have purchased for 10 times that amount...after several months of use on eyes and face, mine haven't shred a bristle..unlike my 50 dollar plus MAC kabuki (which I love but it does shed) Experience is so individual eh?

ELF products are made in China. You would use these products near your precious eyes? Not me, ever. Just because their cheap doesn't persuade me to buy ELF.

Re: ELF Brushes??

[ Edited ]

I have two eyeshadow brushes and a concealer brush, and they work well for me.  I have had one of the shadow brushes for several years, and it has never shed (I only bought the second one to make it easier when I'm using more than one shade).  They really are quite good quality for the price.

ETA:  I forgot that I also have two of the angled liner brushes--one I use for applying Careprost and one for applying brow powder.  They also work great!

It's important to me that the brush apply the product correctly, and I'd put the ELF line up against any of the more expensive brushes, which I have too.  I have had no issues with them.  Definitely worth trying.  Not sure how they can sell them so cheap, but YAY!!

funny, i've been reading this thread and finally decided to go and check my brushes and guess what?  i have the elf.  i really like it and think it is a good little investment.  i also have a benefit and it stands up to that.

@ladyroxanne

I have Lancôme foundation brushes and need a brush to trade off when the Lancôme one is being cleaned.
