From the Boston Herald, today:
I don't know if the link will work so I cut and pasted the first paragraph for you:
A famed 70-year-old plastic surgeon from Nahant was busted buying crack Sunday night from a dealer in Lynn who was being shadowed by cops, police said.
Cops arrested Dr. Sheldon J. Sevinor on Sunday evening after an anonymous tipster told Lynn police that Johnnie Albert, 61, was selling crack cocaine from his brown Toyota, secreting the drugs away in a blue Mentos container, according to court papers.

Wow! The story doesn't say what kind of jail time, if any, he'd be facing for that kind of arrest. I'd imagine a doctor found buying crack would at least face a temporary suspension of his license, but I don't know that for sure. Wouldn't they have to suspend it while investigating just to be sure they're not letting someone operate while under the influence?
I googled "penalty for possession of a class B substance in MA." After checking a couple of web sites for law firms, it seems that he'll get some kind of probation, assuming this is his first offense. One site says you get up to a year in jail if it's your first offense, but that's the maximum. My guess would be probation and maybe he'll have to complete some kind of education program, but I really don't know.

All I know is that his product sold on HSN was a real BUST to me. :0

What the . . .???? I am shocked at this but I guess it might be more common than I realize. I have heard about doctors and dentists being addicted to and/or arrested for drugs several times in the last few months here locally. I love his Face List Serum, I have really good results with it!!

I saw the article in the Boston Herald and I kept thinking I know that name. Then I went to HSN site and saw his name and products. I'm wondering if they'll keep sellinig his products now. Sorry but a doctor buying / using crack isn't someone I'd want to purchase anything from.

@Ms X I am by no stretch a lawyer, but I would think the license would at the very least be temporarily suspended. Laws are funny that way, but if I was a patient of his or used his products I would be ticked knowing he was still "practicing" medicine while involved with these substances. I went over to the other channel's website and his stuff is still up, full price and all. I was just curious if they would pull his products down, at least until the story blows over and then they would reduce it for clearance. I cannot imagine that they will keep him.

@ajsidney12 Are the local TV stations in Boston covering it? I had no idea this happened. I agree that if I had surgery scheduled with a doctor who'd been busted like this I'd cancel it. I'd just be too nervous even if there's nothing to be nervous about and he doesn't use while on the job. It might be a good thing for him in the long run, as that kind of thing can be bad for a person's health.

With him being a doctor and having access to top-grade-pharm drugs of all kinds...why in the world would he resort to buying street drugs!!??...and risk his career to boot!
Unbelievable.

I haven't tried his products but it is sad to read this. I hope he gets the help he obviously needs.

I don't know who he is but geez scary to think of a plastic surgeon addicted to crack (and who knows what else?) and still performing surgeries I assume? I hope his license gets suspended until he gets help.
