After reading some reviews on beauty review sites and some other research I have decided not to try his products. I had already ordered his book but haven't read it yet . Are the books worth reading?

I have not read the book, but I would not spend the money on his products either. They're just "meh" and very high priced. I had better luck with Paula's Choice products.

Mandy, I see him a lot hosting a show on Retirement Living concerning longevity and life after 50.

Years ago when "The Perricone Promise" came out, in spite of stellar reviews-I did not want to do the clean living thing. No interest.

In 2015, I almost died.  Eighty pounds overweight and diabetic , I knew I had to change.  I have seen enough of him on TV and in the press to know he advocates fresh whole foods.  Along with weight loss, I reaped beauty benefits I hadn't even thought about.  My dry brittle hair that was falling out became glossy and full.  I have had to "do" some things to combat aging, but all in all, my skin is looking pretty good.  Of course, I wonder about what could have been if only I had listened to people like him.

I love makeup and use it-and lotions and potions-but I feel that great, fresh food goes a long way towards making a more beautiful you.

I'm with one of the postes -- Paula's Choice products.  However, I'm dismayed how much the prices have gone up so I don't order her cleaners and toners.  Found some drugstore products that are good.

So happy for you and glad you are better. I will start reading today. Thank you so much for the push. I definitely need a change in my diet.

If you are looking for no nonsense skincare check out Dr. Dray on you tube.  She is a dermatologist from TX who puts out a daily vlog and gives great, affordable skincare advice.  She even answers questions.

His books are excellent. He has been an advocate for "clean eating" for decades. Only recently has the medical profession seen the light and is now promoting what he and others wrote and discussed a long time ago.

BTW, the plan that Weight Watchers uses goes hand in hand with his books.

Thanks for posting about Dr. Dre/Dray: I had to laugh when I read the name! I had a vision of myself wearing head phones and applying skin care while listening to rap!!!!

Yes, I know-it's true: I am easily amused!
