Dr Gross pads..advice on using them please?

Although I am a fan of the eye and face retinol/ferulic acid products, I haven't tried the two step pads yet.

I have checked a coulple of places, but can't find the answer to the question...what can/should I use on top? Do I use these at night only?

Currently at night I use a retinol product and a vitamin C product. If I use the pads, do I use the retinol/ferulic acid product on top? Or skip that part for the night?
