Dr. Denese prices

[ Edited ]

Her body concealer is VERY EXPENSIVE this year!  I can't see spending $50-$60 for a tube when last year I paid 1/2 this amount.  Does anyone else use a similar product?

I have tried Westmore but it makes a mess in the shower and towels.

I found her product to be the best don't use it year round just in the summer.  She is even on Amazon prices are the same if not more.

Hi @theresa I don't use that particular product but have used other DD products for many years...she's been my main skincare line with others sprinkled in from time to time.

I have found, like everything, her pricing for items I've used forever have more than doubled, beyond what I think they are worth. After all, size and product hasn't changed, only a huge markup in about only 4-5 yrs. There's only so much I'll pay for something before I think, I'm just being "ripped off" so no thank you.

That said...do you follow her on her website weekly emails? She runs a different special each week, and has sales. You might catch your item on sale that way?

I used to get good pricing on Q sets of her items, which with 4 or 5 items per set, it maybe turned out to be $40ish a product. I always check to see if anything comes up.

I use mainly her Hydrosheild serum, and Dream Cream, with the nightly exfoliating pads, only because they come with just about every set.

Do I think she's kept me from aging, how would I know what I might have looked like otherwise? But mostly, no...I think other things contribute to that, genetics, lifestyle choices. But I do feel her creams, serum make my skin feel smooth, soft, and supple looking and I like the way they perform.

Good luck!

@amyb yes I have used her skin products as well but I agree with you the pricing has doubled.  I do follow her website no specials for this product all year.  I sent them a message through their site so I'll see what they respond.

Her prices have knocked me out of the market. I don't notice that my skin likes her products that much so it's okay.

Will no longer purchase her products for double the price.

Yes, yours seems like a "specialty" item, and it seems she discounts the most used, regular things like Hydrosheild, pads, creams etc. But I hope they respond with something for you!

Agree. I'm not that "married" to them, even though I love Hydrosheild, and while I've tried other serums, not nearly the same. That said...I won't overpay either.

I've been trying different things like Olay etc. Again...don't like anything as much yet, but not opposed to using some other, more affordable brands. Trader Joe's has great hair products I've used, and many recommend their skin creams as well. Plenty of brands to try out there at better price points with good reviews.

I only shop DD's items now if I see a good sale. Otherwise, $200 for the full sized Hydrosheild that was under $90 just a few years ago...NO!

I have found over the past year all beauty products have gone up a lot in price not just Dr. Denese.  I used to use Paul Mitchell shampoo, but every year his price goes up by a couple of dollars.  I shopped around and found a drug store shampoo (Dove) works just as well for a fraction of the price.

It's the same with cosmetics.  Every time I reorder an item it's a few dollars more than before.  The companies are just gouging.
