My last AD shipment from last years TSV was suppose to ship today.  It has the eau de perfume, large shower gel, large body cream & sample fragrance bottle.  I got an email today that Philosophy has not provided the inventory for this shipment.  Does not surprise me as I have been trying to change my scent for 6 months.  They will notify me if they have to cancel.😡😡😡😡

@bells4me

hope this was not your Christmas gift to yourself!

If so, hope you find something else you like every bit as well, or better.

I was a devoted fan of their Purity for years until the formula was changed.

Best Wishes to you and your family.

Re: Done With Philosophy

So you won't order Philosophy any more because of this delay?

Why do you feel as if the formula of...Purity....has changed...I've been using it for many years.... I haven't noticed any difference...seems the same to me...?

Ever since they sold to Coty, philosophy just isn't the same product. It's mass produced, and the scents aren't anything like they were 20 years ago. Expensive dime store product.

@TVLand

Philosophy was founded in 1998.  Not long after I started using Purity liquid facial cleanser exclusively.  It worked perfectly with my combo skin, Retin-A use, Clarisonic cleansing nightly.  Loved it.

In 2010 Philosophy was sold, I think to Coty.  Within a few purchases I noted drying, redness, and a residual on my face, not the soft clean skin I was used to.  After eliminating other products, that I used, I found that the Purity was the culprit, and stopped using it.

I was far from being the the only one who had problems after the sale. QVC and Philosophy sent out at least two, that I received, Questionnaires to users about what changes, problems, concerns  had been noted, by users with Purity.

If you have not noticed any change, I’m happy for you, but that was not my experience.

I never was much of a skincare person until a friend introduced me to philosophy. I used purity, hope in a jar, lip/eye cream, and the micro scrub. Loved the cleaniness and how my skin didn't feel dry. I tried Falling in Love and thought I had found my signature fragrance. This was probably 20years ago. I enjoyed watching Christina (I believe the Creator and original owner) demonstrate and talk about the products. Then I noticed a change in the hope in jar. There was an oily substance sitting on top of the cream. And the smell changed too. Then Falling in Love changed the scent. It was no longer my favorite. I had discovered the company was sold. Very disappointed. Needless to say that ended my philosophy days. It's really a shame when that happens to great products. Now I use CeraVe products as recommended by my dermatologist.

@colover - Your experience sounds exactly like mine. I was not into skincare at all when I was introduced to Philosophy from the Q not long after it started. I was probably around 30 or so. I was given the kits as gifts and had the Purity, HIAJ, HIAT, plus the vit C powder, microdelivery scrub, WHINE and assorted other products. They were very reasonably priced as kits and I loved everything. Their lip and cheek tint is still my favorite I ever used and Falling in Love was my absolute favorite fragrance.

Now I don't use anything from their line. Besides the fact that I just don't care for their products, there's way too many of them and they are way overpriced. I tried going back to a couple of basics a few years ago and couldn't stand it and ended up throwing them away. I still love the way Falling in Love smells but the last TSV I had a couple of years ago didn't last on me longer than a few minutes so I cancelled that too. It is disappointing.

@DohenyQueeny

To add to that, it's no longer cruelty free!

I stopped buying the brand when they sold to Coty because of that.

I still have a closet full of their products from before they were sold that I'll still use up, I'm not wasteful.

I also have not noticed any difference, and I've used it for years.
