Does anyone really truly have success with any anti aging products really working well? I have spent so much money on products and wasted a lot of money on them.
I dont see much difference at all but maybe if I wasnt using them my skin would be in worse condition lol.
I was using Suzanne Somers because I like using Non Toxic. But have been using many of Skinn products.
I dont use things on a regular basis as the directions say. Could this be a reason? Thank you!!

Absolutely. IMO, consistency is always the key to long term success. Otherwise you're just kind of playing at it and you're just spinning your wheels.

Is it best to stick to ONE skin care/product line also as well as being consistant?

Sure, there are lots of things that really make a difference, and there are plenty of articles published in science and medical journals to prove just that. SPF, Retinol, acids, etc. Also, injectibles and plastic surgery work.
Honestly, if you don't have a routine and use things consistently, you won't see nearly the difference than when you do. So I think the best place to start is finding a routine that you'll actually do and go from there. Products can't help if they only sit on the shelf and don't make it to your skin!

I don't think you need only one line. I mix and match brands and I've had very good results. I look for products that are effective first, and have good formulations, then I make a decision on which one fits in my price range.

Well i could sure not afford any type of injectibles, botox, plastic surgery. Plus not for me anyway lol.

It depends on what issue is being treated. For me this is what I have seen with my skin care routine:
- fine lines and wrinkles, 6 weeks
-hyperpigmentation, 3 months at best, had to see a derm
-pore size, 2-3 months
I think as a whole, give it 3 months and no less than 6 weeks.
But I have to admit that before all of this skin care stuff, I did kinda cheat and had some laser tightening done on my face, eyes and neck. It wasn't until then that I started taking care of my skin more seriously.

@CherryHugs You'll get varying opinions here. Some people like using everything from the same line because they believe there is a synergy between all of them , meaning they work together and build upon each other for maximum benefit. That can also be a marketing strategy too. My own approach is that I've tried a number of things and chosen to create my routine out of and assortment of products from different brands. I'm going to be 60 very soon and my skin at this age is better than my older sisters when they were my age. I'm not trying to brag, just making a point that practices do make a difference and it's not all in the genes.

Wearing an SPF hands down is the best thing you can do for your skin since the sun is maybe the biggest ager of skin. Using a chemical exfoliant, gentle enough to use daily and a Retinol has made a big difference in my skin. Also, vitamin C, which I don't use daily but do use a few days a week. Purchased the Paula's Choice skin care book, it helped me a lot in understanding how skin care works. At one time Paula had a lot of videos up on Skin care which were excellent unfortunately for some reason they decided to remove many of the videos when they redid their Youtube channel. which is a shame because they were very educational. Visit some dermatologist blogs as well there are derm doctors out there with great blogs on skincare, what works and doesn't work. Most skincare products don't work though and beware of the more expensive brands & so called natural products especially. They rarely don't work, are in open jars (rendering them useless after a few days of opening) low quality & irritating ingredients. More expensive and natural doesn't equate better.
