Gosh, I don't know, that seems like from what extreme to another.
Though I remember boiling bottles too and water too!
It's hard to know what is true isn't it?

I always carefully wash my hands before I apply anything to my face. So, I am not worried about putting my finger into a jar of product. I am the only person using my products so to me, this is not a worry. I would say also you could use a fresh q-tip, but this would waste a bit of your product.

Thank you for such a good suggestion about putting products in tubes. I made my own lip balm, so when I open a new tin I will put it in a tube.

@Stenn I am surprised she was not directed on use,. First of all she should have had one of those flat sticks to place in the jar and then on her hand. What is wrong with these vendors. Use a stick for dippiing -- it's for sanitary reasons and bacteria not forming.
