Do you purchase samples before taking the plunge?

I  want to order the sample IT Neck cream for $16 rather than pay $52 if it doesn't work.

It's only .5 oz so I'm not sure this will be enough of a trial for me to see any result if its going to happen.  I could buy the $52 and return but I wanted to try a sample that I didn't think they offered.

Has anyone ever bought samples like this that were worth it and you saw results say in 2 weeks.  According to the reviews women are stating they saw results in under a week.

Not sure about that but it might be worth a try.

I have purchased small jars of moisturizers to try before splurging on full size product, but I don't do this routinely.

Personally, I would read reviews, get a sample at a store, if possible, or just try it in a store,   I'd be more inclined to purchase the full bottle, give it a fair shake, and return if necessary.   $16 (plus shipping. Is too steep a price for a small sample.

i just take the plunge usually.

if it doesnt work for me after a while i just stop using it.

many times i pass it along to my daughters or my mother to try so that it doesnt get wasted. other times, i repurpose the product if i can. for example, if i dont like a face cream, i can use the cream on my feet for moisture.

It would depend on what I'm trying out for the first time. If it's something I need to use for many days, or even weeks, before I can see that it works for me then I'll buy a full size and return the rest if I don't care for it. In other words some things take time to see results while other things you know right of the bat whether or not you want to keep using it so buying a full size can save a trip back to the store.

I never had any real results with neck creams, I've tried every one the Q has to offer. What I have found actually works for my almost 70 year old neck isFace Up Double S Essence from HSN. The product isn't even a neck cream, it's a serum type product you put on your face and neck before you apply anything else. I find this product is all I need and it isn't expensive.I have been using this product for over a month and it really has lifted my whole face, my neck looks like 45 or 50 again. I saw results right away too. I never buy samples and I do return beauty products to the Q frequently.

I find samples useless since there is not really enough to find out if the product works.  I have noticed that most reviews that say a product doesn't work are posted after using it only a few times and not enough time to really know.  I just buy the full size and if it doesn't work as good as I want don't buy it again.

Would I buy samples?  No.   But I do remember when free samples were easily available.  Cosmetic counters would give you little vials of colognes or small packets of makeups just for asking.  Boy! those days are gone.

@newme1   With skincare, it usually takes at least 6 wks. to see any significant changes. I'd purchase the full size. If you don't like it, 30 days to return it. BTW, I've been using Bare Minerals Ageless Genuis Neck Cream for almost 2 years from Q (avail. in a duo) and see great results.

Wasn't that the idea of having a sample in the first place?

I don't mind getting a smaller size to start with, but I usually do not do that in skin care things. When one has tried different things over the years, one can readily tell if something is a true performer or not.

Skin cells shed every day; the top layer about once every month. So, maybe that trial period of 2 months overall is a good barometer to see if the product is living up to its name .
