I do. I have purchased inexpensive 'beauty blender' type sponges at TJMaxx and Marshalls for between $3.99 - $4.99. I liked them very much. I have most recently tried the Real Techniques makeup sponge for $5.99 sold at Ulta (and other places where RT is sold) and love it! It's a far fluffier sponge than the ones I was getting at TJMaxx and Marshalls. I have not tried the actual beauty blender. I just can't bring myself to spend $20 for one sponge. (even with a sale or discount).
I find that the key to any makeup sponge is getting it saturated with water and completely squeezing it out. I put the foundation or bb/cc cream on the back of my hand and dip the sponge into the makeup and then apply. It spreads so effortlessly and evenly.

I have the fake beauty blenders from overseas and they are awesome. They are gourd shaped and fluffy with lots of bounce, all for 3 for 4.77. The teardrop shape is not as easy to use but is great for putting on neck cream. Plus they sell these little sponges on a stick which is great for concealer, zit cream, line filler etc...
