I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Emjoi. Use this before any treatment product. There is no use moisturizing dead skin.

I mentioned it in post #2.

Re: Do You Have Dry, Rough Skin on Your Feet?

My feet have been their worst this winter. I use a Seki Edge pumice like device to remove the dead, flaky skin and then apply JM Infinity Intensive Creamy Oil. I am allergic to petroleum based products and used to use L'Occitane Pure Shea Butter but I think the JM is doing a better job!

I have also used Skinn's DermApeal on my feet and calves, works great even on the rough heel calluses and feels so good!

This is similar to my current foot, except I do trim my nails shorter.

LOL. I found a product called Baby Foot. It is available through beautysagedotcom, and what appears to be the same product is available on ebay under a couple of different names. Did a great job, except for a few tough spots, but, frankly, I think I would need something atomic to blast through those spots.

My foot, after only maybe two months, is starting to look bad again. I have another package of Baby Foot and will probably use it this weekend.

Baby Foot consists of two booties lined with exfoliants. You wash and dry your feet, put the booties on, put socks over the booties and sit still for about an hour. I could walk around in them, but they are kind of slippery.

Re: Do You Have Dry, Rough Skin on Your Feet?

Oh, I always have terrible feet. The ladies at the shop cringe and then draw straws as to who has to take me. JK. Seriously, they've always been bad. I have tried everything including the Emjoi. Me feet snickered at its promises. The thing that works best is a $15 rasp I bought online. I use it on dry feet and then another metal callous smoother. In between I'll use the smoother with a liquid callous remover. I've found one or two from Sally's that aren't bad. The best I've found is from Julep and it's a roll on. I started about once every ten days with the rasp and am down to almost 3 weeks now.

My feet would be bad if I didn't do things to take care to prevent it. It wouldn't take much for them to get dry with calloused in certain areas.

The upkeep on the human (female) body is like spinning plates.

Re: Do You Have Dry, Rough Skin on Your Feet?

When my heels get dry, I like to do a foot bath. Then I slather on cream and put on sweat socks. I have an emjoi too that I'll use before the foot bath. Sometimes all that seems like a whole lot of effort and I'll just go and get a pedicure.

Re: Do You Have Dry, Rough Skin on Your Feet?

We have hardwood floors and I'm always barefoot. philosophy's Soul Owner is amazing! I use that at night and wear socks, next morning I use the foot file to get the dead skin off and I barely need to work at it, it just dissolves away. Then I use a nice body butter or some lotion....it's like having Baby feet! I use it once a week and just use lotion/ body butter in between. It's got great reviews here, check it out!
