I guess it's because I'm getting older (shudder, shudder), but this winter has been the worse winter for my feet to be dry and rough.
My podiatrist told me to use Kerasal Ultra 20 Foot Softening Cream. I bought it at her office, but found that it is available at Amazon. I don't know if any local stores carry it or not.
My family doctor looked at the ingredients and said that she thought it would be good to use, too, (I have cellulitis on my one foot and wanted her approval also). She that this would be a good softening lotion as mineral oil and petrolatum (like vaseline) are listed near the beginning of the ingredients and alcohol is way down the line.
After using it for just a week, my feet are soft and not dry. If you decide to purchase this, I hope it works for you, also.

Thanks--I'll look into it. Have you tried using just mineral oil or Vaseline alone?

My heels have been exceptionally dry this winter. I was using my EMJOI but it seemed the more I used it, the more my heels cracked. I purchased butter LONDON Rock Off Glycolic Callous Peel and Stiletto Stick Hydrating Heel Balm and they've worked miracles.
In the past I used Vaseline but found this winter, while it softened my heels, it made the cracks more prominent.(if that makes any sense)
Last week I was on a beach daily and the sand has worked wonders as a natural exfoliant. I fear once I'm back into my normal routine, the cracks will return.

Do you have a pumice stone, Lulu? Also works wonders as a natural exfoliant. ![]()

Thank you for the tip. I will look for this product. I have been using Perlier Butter with 50% Shea and that works well too.

I use my Emjoi and LOVE it for my cracked, dry heels. I then follow up with a thick slab of moisturizer and put on some socks. That works great for me.

For me, an exfoliating cream has helped tremendously with seriously dry skin on my hands and feet. I recently rediscovered CeraVe SA Renewing lotion which contains salicylic acid in my stash of body products and used it last night on hands and feet. Woke up this morning to soft, moisturized skin with no flakies!

I used Skinn's Derma Peel and it worked great. Never had to use it twice either. Got rid of the dry skin and it hasn't come back since.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Emjoi. Use this before any treatment product. There is no use moisturizing dead skin.

This is similar to my current foot, except I do trim my nails shorter.
