@Kachina624

I so agree that many nail designs are over-the-top.  I would  be willing to bet (just my opinion) that the sales wouldn't be as good with nail designs that distracting.

Elaborate nail designs are very popular here, especially with the younger ladies. I will say the older I get the more conservative my nail designs have become, although I've always been fairly conservative with my nail designs.

Funny story...for Valentine's Day I decided to go with the classic one color...a very pretty Magenta.  When I showed it to my husband he said, "I like that look best on you.  It's more attractive on a woman of your stature."  Knowing my husband the way I do, I said, "you mean, a woman of my age?" & naturally he said, "yes!"  I said, "well, you're in luck because it's less expensive than getting nail designs."

Anyhoo, bottom line, yes, those nails are distracting.  Like you, my eyes are drawn to the nails vs. the item being shown.

That's sweet of you, ty🌹
I feel like I'm not articulate and I'm afraid sometimes the way I think it and type it can be confusing to some trying to figure out what I mean, or maybe what I type comes off a way I didn't intend.
All those nail pics are wild aren't they!!😲

For sure!!  I've never seen anything like it!

But cha'know, I'm glad to see how other ppl live & their likes also, even the perceived crazy ones!. These nails are probably considered a "work of art.!  Ready for the Paris Runway!

I NEVER EVER would have though, or an creative enuf to think of Dinner Utensils for finger nails,, or Makeup Brushes for finger nails!.  Different, altho not for me, but different!  Woman Happy

Re: Distracting Nail Polish

Okay, I skipped everyone's comments since there are already some 7+ pages, however, my comment is:

I think there may be an unspoken competition among the female hosts . . . who can have the most outrageous nails of the day.  Good OR Bad.  really, j/k... Cat LOL

Re: Distracting Nail Polish

I have seen some ladies with the really long pointy nails that are in these days...actually I think they have be "in" for a good while now.  Personally I do not like the look at all so I do not do my nails like that.  And I do not wear the faux nails just my short natural nails as mine couldn't handle that damage.

I notice Courtney always has this style going on and many times they look very pretty on her to my eyes.  I like that ombre style she had going on last time I watched Q.  But she wasn't selling jewelry I think it was clothing.

Shawn said she had to stop doing her's which were just like Courtney's as she became allergic to the chemicals used.

Anything can be distracting on zoom in camera shots to sell jewelry.  I remember the male hosts putting rings (women's rings) on with the large hairy knuckles and showing it LOL!

I couldn't focus on the jewelry AT ALL Woman LOL  Glad they stopped that but it went on for a good long time!!

@JoyFilled Warrior

I just type random words and add something like crazy nails in the search engine and they come up.

Vanessa's nail art was terrible. The brush was way too thick making the matrix look like a child got ahold of a brush and drew little worms on them. I shudder to think what the cost was.

Okay, I  think you've mentioned the very thing that makes me appreciate these (above) blue, glitzy nails, if I have to choose betw those,  and "women's rings" displayed on "large hairy knuckles!"   *gulp*

Her nails are always distracting, I agree they should wear something neutral.

First, I think Vanessa is a lovely host, but those pointy ones freak me out.  I have to say, MY favorite nail type is like Leah's, I think she has the best hosts nails.  The colors are beautiful and a manageable length.  (Even her beautiful reds and dark pinks). Always beautiful.
