Yes Dusty1, it is white. I like it because the tube is big and lasts a ridiculously long time and it makes my skimpy short eyelashes full and lush. I have not tried Lancome....maybe they are very similar! And I read below, that someone likes the Clinique one too!

I love make up forever's lash fibers. It really makes my lashes long then I apply the mascara. Sephora is always sold out of it.
