It is still there if you are referring to "Be kind; for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
OP used a different one here, although I don't really remember what it was. I enjoy reading adages, but I was confused about the context in which she used them (particularly because she is responding to herself).
Sorry I missed it. This was also in response to her own post. Interesting.

Apparently, she thinks that she is treading on thin ice with this topic, and she is.
No this was the quote in the Jamie from IT cosmetics thread. The quote in this thread was something different, something about the world breaking everyone or something. I wish I could remember it.

SO, why don't you ask him on his Facebook page where lots of people are out there to answer that question.
As for her signature.....why not?!?!?! It is Easter soon.
But all the thinning hair and hair growth shampoos and/or conditioners I've seen, Nioxin, keranique, etc, all contain dimethicone so if there was truth to that statement, why would shampoos/conditioners to help hair loss contain it?
Because even thinning hair needs shine....I really don't know other than that since I'm not a chemist. Silicones are used for shine and sleek hair, which is why it is in so many different products. So from Google:
It also provides a protective cover on skin, which is supposed to help keep moisture in, leaving skin hydrated for longer. In hair care products, dimethicone is used to provide smoothness, particularly in conditioners and detanglers, where the ingredient helps smooth hair and provide better comb-through.
yes, I agree and I do know why it is added to products but OP was indicating it can cause hair loss so I was asking if that were true (I have not found any real scientific studies indicating that this is true), why would hair loss/thinning product contain it. Kind of a rhetorical question, to give the OP food for thought and hopefully do more research beyond a google search to see if her statement is factual. Dimethicone is in the good majority of shampoos and/or conditioners.
My dyslexia is in overdrive. I totally didn't get that the first few times I read it. Now that you point it out, I've got it. You are right! I'm not sure what she was getting at either. It is a common ingredient, so it shouldn't be a source as a cause of hair loss. That would be like blaming water for hair loss. There must be something else that certain people may be having a reaction to it other than dimethicone since it is such a common ingredient in so many things.
I had a horrid reaction to Suave coconut shampoo that caused my lymph glands under my arms to swell and become super, super tender and a rash under my arms spreading outwards. I was scared it was shingles and me with a pregnant sister at the time. I stopped using it and the other new thing that I used, which I can't remember right now. A week later, when all was better, I tried the shampoo again. It was super quick the next morning that I had the same issue. I dropped it quickly. I also used the matching conditioner without issue, so I don't know what it was.

oh my gosh that is scary! Are you allergic to coconut (lol, does suave coconut really even have coconut in it?)? I've had reactions to other shampoos and conditioners in the past but nothing that severe. That would freak me out.

Yes, it was very strange. Which is why I asked OP to clarify.

Sorry Crisso,
I just didn't see it. I'm not my usual sharp as a tack person, because I'm trying to remember what I forgot to pack.
Really, no harm intended. I'll go up and delete it from my post.

No harm done. No need to delete it. One is good, two is better in some instances!
