Re: Dermablend foundation...pros and cons? Don't have horrible skin...just wondered about coverage?

crush,

I use Warm Ivory.

In BE, I am kind of in-between Fairly Light & Light.

In Jane Iredale Amazing Base, I wear the shade Satin.

In IT Cosmetics CC Cream I wear Light.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation I wear Light.

I have light skin with a neutral/beige (not warm or cool) skin tone.

Hope this helps!

Thanks...this does help. I think I would be the next shade up...Sand beige?? I am b/t a light and medium. I normally wear Fair in LGB&B but a Medium Beige in the Celebration Foundation. In BE, I can wear the light or medium beige, depending on the time of year. I think the Dermablend Medium might be a tad too dark for me.

crush,

I did find that the shades run a tad dark. In fact, I had first purchased a different shade & then exchanged it for the Warm Ivory.

I think you're right about starting with Sand Beige. That's the shade I would try if I were you.

Re: Dermablend foundation...pros and cons? Don't have horrible skin...just wondered about coverage?

I seriously believe I look at least 20 years younger.

I love the coverage and it seems to even everything out...it's hard to explain but I am very pleased with this brand. I also have a Clinique foundation with Estee Lauders foundation and I don't see the same results.

I just bought the concealer today from HSN and wonder why half of the product has free shipping and the rest of the products do not...just seems strange.

I think I'm not even going to bother with any other brand, I'm sold with the Dermablend and I'm having a couple issues with some spots on my chin and those are all covered up and just disappear with the foundation.

Oh, I also want to add that I watched the hsn online video for the product & they say you can mix a moisturizer with it if you want. Just an idea.

Thanks for all your information...I decided to order it last night. I will definitely play with it; I may try to mix in a little cream illuminator to see if it softens the look or even dot a bit into a primer. I'm like a scientist when it comes to my makeup...I mix up all kinds of potions!

Beautiful foundation, finish, lasting power. Wish they had more shades. I would say medium to full cover yet the finish is not at all heavy and it does not feel heavy.

I like the Dermablend Smooth Indulgence foundation. It is creamy, comes in a tube and gives excellent coverage but is still light on my skin. I apply a small amount with a damp beauty blender sponge and it covers any spots/hyperpigmentation I have but looks natural. I am fair and use the natural beige shade. I don't use it every day but when I want more coverage this works well.

Crush - I wore their foundation so many years ago I couldn't begin to remember. At the time I was incredibly fair so I'm sure I just chose the lightest shade of the bunch and it did work for me. I was just too oily - still am, darn it!!

Best of luck with your choice. I'll be checking back to find out how you like it. Do share!!
