Morning. Sooo cold, again. Only be about high of ~11 and feel below 0 windchills all day. Thanks for bday wishes for mom. They will go out tonight with friends--Red Lobster, yum. Prayers, please, for the father of one of DS's friends; he fell and has a brain injury. Only in his 40s.

Well, I'm working today, so going to finish getting ready. Wish there was more action/interest here.

Good morning! Drinking coffee, trying to wake up.

It's only 10 degrees but going up to 27, then back down tonight to -1. Brrr! I'm afraid to open my gas bill!

Prayers for your DS father Bethee! That's very sad, I hope he recovers completely. I need prayers here too. My father has two siblings and both are in the hospital. One had a heart attack, the other has problems related to diabetics.

Haddie, OMG, your DS used plumbers puddy in his ears? Wow, I hope he's ok! My DH is a plumber so I know exactly what that stuff is like!

He is fine. I was freaking out at the time.. But, we should have thought about it. We are doing some remodeling and had a few things stored in a closet and not in the garage.(a no no we fixed) Long time back he did it with paper. But, that was just a tweezer fix. He is 20 and we did not think he would do that now.. He proved us wrong.

Everything quiet here. The coffee sounds good. It is 0 this am with -13 wind chill..

I will be praying for everyone..

I may try to venture out this morning...the DS's are restless from being inside all week.

Hello! Long time no post, I know. Since January our lives have been crazy with illness and death that I just don't feel like posting much. I always read here though.

No school/work today as we are under a wind chill warning. -30 with a real temp of -12 or so. Tomorrow is more of the same except it's only a wind chill advisory. Joy, Joy!

Haddie, have you tried the big headphones with your son? A lot of the kids/adults where DH and I work use those when they have sensitivity to noise. It's a lifesaver for a couple of our severely autistic kids. Saves their sanity and keeps us from getting clobbered.

Hope everyone else is doing well. I am so ready for spring!

We did the earphone thing in middle school. He became dependent on them to the point he wanted to sleep in them. The audiologist told us it makes the issue worse because it mutes everything and then when they remove them everything seems louder. We did the auditory training and stopped it. But, I may get another pair until we can get him back to Ct and redo the training.

Sorry about your situation at home...

They closed the schools and university until Monday here..

Hi, ladies. Haddie, where are you? They've been opening schools late here in central Maryland, and some are closed due to lack of heat and lack of water. Water mains are breaking all over Baltimore and surrounding areas. Good luck getting your DS to CT for the training. Sounds like a terrible affliction.

Bethee, so sad about DS's friend's dad. What a shame. Prayers going out.

And, Love, praying that the next storm misses you. I hope you stay safe. Prayers for your family members, too.
