22 shopping days until Christmas, BEauties! I'm about done, except for my brother and SIL, neither of whom have presented wish lists, and their son. I'm seeing a trend! I do have an idea for SIL, but not for brother, who is quite picky and particular. Coal, maybe!

I'm so glad that I did go to my uncle's funeral Saturday. He and my aunt have 7 kids, and it's been years since they've all been together with all of their spouses. It was wonderful to see everyone, despite the circumstances. It was a lovely day, except for one incident. A man who had been my uncle's roommate in the hospital and gotten to be friendly with him came to mass and the lunch afterward. While my uncle's cousin, Father Phil, was giving the blessing before we ate, this guy started hollering at him to "move it along" and "hurry up" and "sit down, you're boring us and we want to eat", stuff like that. My cousin tried to hush him, and he got belligerent with her, until the guys asked him to leave. He said that he had been promised lunch, so they offered to buy him a hoagie if he'd leave quietly. What an odd thing to have happen! We'll be telling that story at family gatherings for years!!

It's a lovely spring day here, going to be in the upper 60's or 70's. I guess I'll get the outside decorations out!
