I just had a dip manicure for the very first time. It's only when I'm going on vacation that I get my nails done professionally, I usually take care of them myself what's my favorite white polish. Does anyone find that the dip manicure may damage your nails. I know when I did the gel's they seem to leave my fingernails dry and bumpy.

Yes, it does cause damage, it is the removal that causes the damage.

While your nails look very pretty when freshly manicured, yes, your nails will be damaged. Your nails will be paper-thin so be ready to cut them short and just let them grow in. The layers of products are sanded down with a Dremel tool and nails soaked in acetone to remove everything. I do dip manicures for about 3 months then I get them removed.
