The last time I did a GA peel it was 30% and I couldn't handle it. I called my derm and asked about doing another peel and she told me that since I have scleroderma that makes my skin take an extra long time to heal and recover from any kind of peel, microdermabrasion or microneedling (I do that once monthly).  I'm hesitant to do another peel after what i went through the last time.

If your skin is peeling from using Retin-A that doesn't mean it has to peel for it to be working. The peeling is a side effect and not direct effect of using tret. The anti-aging effects of tret don't happen on the surface. Tret's anti-aging effects happen well below the surface, in the dermis, where fibroblasts are located. You don't have to peel when using tret. If you are then either you are a beginner, or using too high of a dose or using too much of it at a time. Peeling skin is a sign of irritation and irritation is not a good thing no matter what the cause.

70% is very strong.   once weekly i use a 10% glycolic on my face for 10 min and it stings.  i have a 29% glycolic peel to use on my heels. and if i'm not careful to keep it only to the calloused area it singes the non-calloused skin.  the label states not for use on the face.

if you have not used a peel before start with a lower percentage.  my skin's not even that sensitive and it stings.

This is the last one I used by The Ordinary.  It was only around 8.00.

@Shanus I got a heavy-duty peel back in October. My skin was red and tight and then started peeling on the 5th day. I continued peeling for 7 days. I only have it done once a year in the fall. Love the results. I didn't leave the house the entire time which was the only negative.
