Is everyone taking their 6 pictures? Have you signed up to the DDP community board? Lots of before/after pics.

tiamaria: I saw the infomercial a while back...plus when he was on Shark Tank, as well. Your post popped up & after researching it, I ordered the set...should be here by next weekend!

I like the way he focused on heart rate...that's important. Also, like one viewer mentioned...I tried to find a negative review...YouTube, blogs, Amazon....hard to find. Everyone likes it.

This will be different, exercising @ home...haven't done that in a very long while...but I like the MP3 I could download to take to the gym w/ me.

I want to be more flexible, so let's give it a month...see what happens!!

I too tried to look for negative reviews and there really weren't many. One was that he was very military drill sargent-ish which I thought might drive me a little crazy. I can honestly say that after doing the dvd three times, and only getting to the beginning of the 2nd of 4 discs, I am not bothered by him at all. I actually find him very encouraging and likeable. One other review was that it is what you make of it. The program itself worked for the reviewer, but he just didn't continue on. Who knows. Boredom, maybe people like to leave their houses to exercise...whatever. I have a zillion inches of snow on the ground so I am happy right here in the middle of my living room for now. I am just hoping I can fall into a better groove because as I mentioned do have a hard time keeping up the pace as well as breathing correctly. Hopefully it will all fall into place as I get use to the moves. I am anxious to hear what you think!! Keep me posted!!!

Another thing...I used my yoga strap for the first time Friday. There was a move where I needed it to hold my leg up behind me. I just couldn't effectively do it without that strap!! I also bought a yoga brick($10) but have not yet used it yet. And I got a really great yoga mat that was extra long and had great reviews from Amazon. I believe it was $35.

I purchased this program yesterday. I sit all day at work and have developed a hip problem that is starting to affect my mobility. There are some amazing transformations in this Youtube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkBE8lDgdIY

Question for those of you doing the program, are you using a heart rate monitor? I have taken yoga in the past but never have used a monitor. Thanks!

I did not purchase any additional equipment with my initial order. I will be looking on Amazon for some things though, if I find them necessary.

tiamaria: Got my order today (express ship). Wanted to start immediately! Are you following the 13-week workout grid? What about the food plan?

I mentioned upthread it's hard to find any negative about the program, but this might be one. If one has high blood pressure, doing dynamic tension might cause the blood pressure to rise...'consult with your physician before beginning' might be wise. Other than that, go for it!!

I do think extras might be needed in the interim...definitely props like a strap & brick. I have a HR monitor. That's what I like about this program...it focuses on HR...even mentions Dr. Maffetone's method of 180-(your age) as your aerobic ceiling.

Have to get my 6 pics taken tomorrow...hopefully my flexibility will get better..with pics to prove! Told my SO I'm doing it to be "more bendy"...he was definitely interested! Hee
