I have fine and thin hair and because I am letting my hair grow to my waist or past, I didn't trim for four months. Well, I also had so many bad hair stylist experiences that I was actually scared to death to get it trimmed. Anyways, my hair payed dearly for that. My hair started to split up the shaft. I'm still trying to recover from it. But everyone is different. Some people can abuse their hair and you would never know and some people can miss a trim or two and its obvious. Since I'm still paying for my mistake I would just be careful. And good luck!!!

Are you using Wen? Because I don't get split ends anymore, now that I'm using Wen. I haven't trimmed in over 6 months.

Yes, cutting your ends will be healthy for your hair and usually hair grows after a trim. How long is your hair?

Hair grows from the roots, not the ends of your hair. So, no cutting the ends off will not make your hair grow.

Yes, this.

If you have split ends, it is best to trim your ends off to keep your hair healthy. If you have split ends and don't trim, the split continues further up the hair and your hair will start breaking off higher and higher up and/or looking stringy/thin at the ends due to hair splitting (and breaking off at various lengths).

Thanks! My hair is not very long only about upper back when it is not all curly. The thing I have noticed is that the better it gets the more it curls I get. Since I want it to grow long it has been a conflict. I love how healthy most of my hair has become but as it curls up it looks shorter..........
