So, I was feeling a little blue on Saturday afternoon and decided to take myself shopping at the Estee Lauder counter. Way, way back in the '80's I was a huge fan of Lauder fragrances, but alas, now, pretty though the fragrances are they just all overwhelm me. BUT, I absolutely LOVE their color cosmetics.

So first, I picked up two of the Double-Wear Stay-in-Place Shadowcremes in Pink Pearl & Smoky Plum. I have three other colors that I'd purchased last year but I needed new colors and these are just gorgeous on me. I use the Pink Pearl on my lid and the Smoky Plum in the crease and then tightlined with a Palladio Eggplant retractable mineral pencil (another rave, btw!), and then Lauder's Double-Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil in black plum on my lid at the lash line, and wow did this really brighten up my face. I'm so pleased with these shadows. I think I can stick with these colors through the fall. Oh, and for a highlighter under my brow I used the highlighter from Laura Geller's TSV from a couple of months ago - a really fool-proof all purpose highlighter that works with just about any eyeshadow that I wear.

Next, I wanted a new lip color for the fall, and I am a huge fan of long wear lip colors, MaxFactor's Lipfinity being my former holy grail until they left the States. I had two of Lauder's Double-Wear Stay-in-Place Lip Duos in my inventory at home. I love them, but I wanted something new for fall, so I picked up Eternal Plum. Love it on me! With my new shadows it really brightened up my face.

I am so pleased with both of these products and will probably pick up more colors at some point.
