Copper P- use question

I use Copper P on my face daily and have also used it on burns. I just had surgery a few weeks ago and was wondering it it would help to use it on the area that was cut. I have read several posts on use but haven't found a post that would answer my specific question.

Can it be used in place of Neosporin on an open infected area? Would it be beneficial to use while it is healing?

Any info. would be greatly appreciated!
