Confused: Pump Amount Discrepency

Ok, I started using WEN when the Pomegranent was first released. LOVE it! Followed the instructions that were given on QVC on the live show, which was the same as what the instructions stated on the bottle. Excellent results! I then ordered a QVC TSV with the Cleansing Conditioner, Body Cleanse and Replenishing Mist...missed out on the Pomegranant so I ordered the Sweet Almond Mint. On that show he stated to use a different amount of pumps, as well as when I got the bottle it stated the different amount of pumps as well. So, I used the number of pumps as stated on the bottle and horrible results. Wondering if it is due to the discrepency of the different amount of pumps or if it is the sweet almond mint formula?
