@teganslaw

I have both.  I used the It concealer for several years.  It's very emollient/tacky.  You could set it with powder but that would probably make for a very thick undereye.  The Nars (with the doe foot) looked good at first but was drying.  I don't know about the Nars in the pot.  I guess it's all the products I use in my skincare (that's all I can think) but I don't seem to need it anymore but I do use the Tatcha Pearl for brightening.

I've only used the IT and it is so incredibly thick to me I could not use it at all. Maybe that's what some people want but not me. I don't have dark circles or much to cover so I only need a little help...I have huge undereye bags but nothing seems to disguise those babies! 😩 I have heard good things about the Nars but no personal experience. Still, for me, day in and day out I like the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. I have it in Brightener, Light, and Neutralizer but like the Brightener best.

For me, the IT concealer was a no-go.  Very hard to blend and it settled into my creases. Hard to get out of the tube too for some reason.  I recently tried Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy and I love it.  Blends perfectly and doesn't settle into my eye creases.  I've heard great things about the Maybelline product as well and I'm going to pick one up on my next run to Target to try.

I bought that Maybelline concealer today. I bought the light but I'm afraid it's going to be too light. I wear light universally in foundations, in one version of light or another. I wasn't aware that there was a" brightener" . I am wearing Becca under eye illuminator which I love.
I have always worn It bye bye because I DO have dark circles and the thicker IT consistency gives me better coverage. I bought the Maybelline from all the reviews and I thought it might be best to have some diversity in concealers. Does the light shade work for you or too light? I never buy the medium shade in anything cosmetics but it does look a tad light to me.

I use the Neutralizer shade. That one is a universal color-correcting shade. The Brightener is just that. It brightens and has a slight pink undertone. My shade in foundation is medium-tan so I can wear the medium Age Rewind and also the Neutralizer. The Medium is somewhat on the lighter side of medium so that will probably work for you otherwise I would just go for the Neutralizer.

I think it just reads light in the package. I’m a light-medium in most foundations and use light in the Maybelline Age Rewind.

Re: Concealer Question

[ Edited ]

I've not tried the Nars but I don't like the IT.  I find it way too thick and heavy.  If you do decide to give the IT a try, my recommendation would be to use a tiny amount and use your figures to blend.  I think the warmth from your skin heats up the product and makes it easier to spread and it works much better.  I found it really bad when I used a brush or even a damp sponge.

I have terrible dark circles so I prefer a more full coverage concealer and because of that, I've just not tried the Nars.

I am one of the oddballs that hates the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer.  In fact it was one of the worst concealers I have used.  It was way too thin, covered nothing and left my undereyes very dry and crepey looking.  I tried it in 3 different shades and all were a no go as far as coverage.

@teganslaw   Like some others, I prefer Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer. It's lightweight enough to go on easily w/o pulling the delicate skin in the eye area. If I need to cover more darkness, I apply a corrector underneath. Bobbi Brown makes a great HG one and Pixie has a good one, too.

@teganslaw   I love Laura Mercier's Secret Concealer.  It comes in the small pot and is medium coverage and glides across the skin.  Does not get into small lines.  I have 2 different places and my shade is sold out.  It's popular but I can wait.
