I was thinking I'd transition from Lumene to Acure because it's becoming next to impossible to find Lumene products, but now I'm just annoyed.
If you haven't started the transition, check Target's site. They have 16 Lumene items listed.
Ahhhhh, they do, indeed. And, at those prices, they can keep them! ![]()
I stocked quite a bit of product when prices were slashed. With Lumene I've learned not to get too attached because they discontinue items and reformulate all the time. The products I'm using now will soon be replaced by new ones.
I have some time...

Well, it's almost the end of April already, and I have been very busy getting ready for and enjoying house guests the last 2 weeks. Loved the companionship and playfulness. Now back to business...slowly...don't rush me.
I've been busy cluttering up my garden with dirt and plants and outdoor furniture. What fun. Lots more to do but it's a start.
Meanwhile, I need your advice. It's almost my birthday, and I realized I've been thinking all year that I'm a year older than I am. Can I be the age I am just finishing next year, since I missed it this year? Does that even make any sense? Will I want to slit my wrists next year when I have to skip ahead 2 years?
These are weighty matters.
Hey, @just bee, what coming up for May? Mirthful? Mindless? Mindful? Maddening? Magical?

Happy weekend everyone!
I'm happy to say, we finally had a productive weekend last weekend. It was warm and sunny and we were able to FINALLY get outside for a while. We got our garage all cleaned out, took everything out, actually washed the walls and did some rearranging of items. We took the snow/winter/hunting items out to hubby's pole barn and got the bikes and some summer items out. There is still some work to be done outsite, actually getting the deck chairs/umbrella out, etc. but it was a really good start.
Hubby also did some work in the pole barn, did a little cleaning and organizing, swept it out and cleaned up some of the trash. He sold his motorcycle and his spare riding lawnmower and snow blade so there is more room in there too. (Until he decides he needs another toy that is). It's not perfect, and not as nice as the house garage, but it's an improvement from what it was. All 3 of our trashcans were full out to the curb this past week so that was a good thing.
I also finally got some donations dropped off this past week to an emergency women's shelter for domestic violence. I dropped off the items at their retail shop and from what I read online it says when donations are dropped off they first sort them and anything that can be used immediately goes directly to the shelter. Other items are put out in their retail shop for sale to the public. Also the women at the shelter get vouchers to shop at the store for items they need. I thought that sounded really nice and someplace to help support rather than just take everything to the Salvation Army. I've thought about donating to them many times but wasn't sure if the donations stayed in the store or went to the shelter and I was glad to find out that items will go to the shelter too. The shelter itself it quite a bit farther away from where we live so I never donated to them, but the retail shop is right across the street from Salvation Army so easy to drop off. I will definitely take items there again. They also take toiletries that are new so I will maybe look around and see if I have any unloved items here that they might like.

@rnmom, you are doing so good overall. You must feel much lighter. It’s a great feeling.
This is morning I was organizing my walk-in. It gets messy fast. I came across my shorty shorts and I finally put them in the donation box. They lasted many rounds of decluttering always with the notion I will fit back into them. Which was a joke because even if I could fit back in them, I knew deep down they were too short regardless. ☹️ Goodbye shorty shorts. I loved some of them too. I kept one pair to the side but they will end up in the box too.
Talk about getting sidetracked quick. I came across boxes of pictures I want to sort through and got caught up in the moment. Memories I had forgotten. I wish I wasn’t adverse to getting my picture taken over the years, they really do bring back memories. But I just went through one box and then had to pull myself away and refocus.
HEP - I got it back on track. It is so easy to fall off the wagon. It really takes commitment. I am 3 lbs lighter. 22 to go..... I am really not focused on the number but I have to give myself a goal. I just want to fit into my summer clothes.
Have a a nice weekend, Everyone.

@Oshare-girl I have never hit pan on any eyeshadow. Good for you!! Hopefullly I'll hit pan sometime this year, since I have stopped buying eyeshadows since February.
That is an awesome feeling to hit pan. I think I only hit pan on two eyeshadows ever and never finished one. This weekend, I am going to clean all of my brushes and start making time for mu in the morning. @Oshare-girl is making me jealous.
Remember that Laura Geller Baby Cakes Blush Palette I ordered from drugstore.com in March 2010? I finally finished off a second blush but still have two to go.
It's not that I don't wear blush -- I do. It's not that I have 37 other blushes in the stash -- I don't. This palette is it.
I thought my Subaru Outback was going to outlive me -- the perfect dog car that was killed in 2012? This blush palette might just be eternal. How do I still have so much left?

@just bee I have never finished a blush, either. I am trying to finish up my makeup products before buying any more. And I have not finished any eyeshadows or blush. These two items seem to take forever to hit pan.

I think I've always been a tad critical of women who "misstate" their ages. But now that I'm "of a certain age" I find that I often tell people that I'm not the age I really am.
Your post reminded me that when I was 57 I was telling everyone that I was 58. I think, after 27, I began to lose track. Maybe when you stop looking forward to your birthday the number gets fuzzy.
I really have no excuse. It's 2018 so I'm 58. In October I'll be 59. That should be easy to remember because I was born in '59.
But I find myself just saying "I'm pushing 60."
Maybe it's laziness, maybe it's senility. Or maybe it's because an occasional person will say "You don't look 60!"
Not that I know what 60 looks like. But I'll know soon enough! ![]()
As for May, I'm thinkin' Murderous. BH has been throwing some of my things away. I came home from work and discovered that my collection of property tax bills was gone. When I asked him where they went he said he shredded them all.
Including the one that's due next week?
I suspect he's been making moves on some of my paperwork. He's become a secret shredder. He also killed a large plant of mine and threw it away -- with the very large planter that I had planned to use outside.
He'd better start thinking about throwing away blunt objects.

I ordered those Acure products on Monday and they showed up Friday morning. I didn't even get a chance to look at the tracking and there they were.
I had ordered from the company once before and it seemed like forever to get my package. I realize now that was during the holiday season.
Anyway, I had to open the shampoo and conditioner and take a whiff. My plan is to rotate two varieties. I've been forcing myself to do the same with my teas on my days off.
Now I must go brew a third mug and go water my roses. My euonymus has powdery mildew again this year. Sigh.
