I finished a few products too this month and it felt good. I didnt have to open or buy anything new, I just moved on to other things I had open. I am really looking forward to getting down to the basics and just starting over. I have a while to go though.
This Fall, I am looking forward to refreshing my wardrobe and my home. I just need a few stylish pieces that can be worn at work and home and, hopefully, some longer tops that I can wear with leggings. I am looking forward to the hunt, well sort of - it is not as much fun as it use to be.
I was sitting on my couch watching tv one night this week and as I looked around, I thought it is looking kinda drab around here. I changed some stuff up and it wasnt for the better. So, I think I am going to add a few new things to liven it up.
I love my "mindful" mindset now, ladies. It is so refreshing to buy and do things with intention.

I was thisssssssss close to buying some beauty items last night on QVC just because they had a random multiple easy pays deals applied to everything. I had 3 items in my cart. HOWEVER!!! I did fight thru the urge, deleted from my cart and closed down my computer then went to bed. No purchase was made. Tiny victory! None of the items were things I actually needed. They were things I wanted to try out since they had great reviews. Yesterday I had a ****** day at work...I think I was looking online shopping for a pick-me-up? retail therapy.

Yes, me too. I was almost tempted by some new eye shadows palettes that are coming out but I didnt even go searching. As I thought about it, I realized I was just a bit down and was looking for a pick me up.

I did some decluttering this weekend! trying to get back on the bandwagon. I filled up a bag of clothes from my closet to be donated. I also hit my shoe collection - 2 pairs were donated, 5 pairs were thrown out since they were years old and had been much loved in prior years but were collecting dust now. I was in the mood to clean out the shoe stash since I bought some cute ankles boots during the Sporto shows on HSN....they are all boots that I can easily wear for work so they will be used a lot. Plus, I love that their suede is treated so I don't have to worry about wearing them on days that are rainy and eventually snowy. I finally branched out from my usual black and brown!!! I bought 1 pair in stone (light taupe-like color) and a dark grey. I'm curious how much I reach for these since they are such exotic colors in my collection LOL. I have fun colored sandles for Summer but once Fall/Winter arrives - it's black and brown shoes for me.

We might have bought the same pair of shoes. Mine are a low shaft bootie with a strap and buckle in dark grey. They look perfect for wet, cold days. I hope they are comfortable. My package has been received by my local PO, so it should be here on Wednesday or Thursday.

Dosey - We did buy the same grey boots!!! The stone pair that I bought is the slightly higher ankle boot with the animal print on the back side. Both are out for delivery so I will get to try them out tonight after work! I have had good luck with Sporto in the past so I look forward to seeing these in person. I think I saw you on the Antthony sweater coat thread too
We're shopping some of the same stuff!!! LOL My sweaters were getting so beat up looking at the end of last Winter that I'm looking to replace a couple. I bought the purple and grey Antthony sweaters. I love that they are longer. Curious to try them out if they are really heavy to just wear for outside or if they can easily be just a regular layering piece to wear for work.

How funny! I hope my boots arrive today. My local PO doesn't always keep the delivery status updated. It has been received by them but could be out for delivery.
Double funny! I bought Antthony's sweaters in purple and green. I considered the grey but have enough grey. My one and only purple cardigan has faded from lots of wear, so I am replacing it. It is a flyaway cardigan, so Antthony's will be different. Also, with the exception of an old t-shirt, I own nothing green, so I am very happy with the emerald. It will be something different.
Let me know what you think of the boots. Super excited for you!
BTW, NO beauty purchases (None, Nil, Nada) for the month of September!! I will replace my broken curling iron tomorrow, and that will be it for October. I'd rather put the money into updating my wardrobe. I am also thinking about Christmas and will start buying gifts in October and spread out my purchases into December.

My Sporto boots arrived this afternoon, and I am going to return them. The right boot is too tight across the top of my foot. I wore them around the house, and after only a few minutes my foot was hurting. I hope you like yours!

Dosey - That's too bad the Sporto boots didn't work for you! Yesterday, my sporto animal print boots arrived. I'm wearing them today to give them a good try out. They fit really well. The shorter bootie should arrive today - they were stuck at UPS yesterday for some unknown reason. Also, yesterday, I got the Naturalizer boots I had on waitlist. These were the exact same size (or so they say on the boot and box) as the black pair I got right away that fit perfectly. This new waitlisted pair - I had to struggle to get them to go on. Didn't even bother trying to zip them. No way, they were same sizing as the black pair. they are being returned this weekend. So disappointing to find a boot/shoe that I like but the sizing is way off. I do have big feet - wear a 10 - usually get a wide too just to make sure they fit. This Naturalizer pair feels like it's maybe a 9 and regular width. It was a pretty navy shade too which I don't have any navy shoes so it would have been some much needed variety.

I have big feet, too. Size 11. To make finding shoes more difficult, my right foot is wider than my left foot but only from my big toe joint across to my baby toe joint. I have one pair of Sporto shoes. They are suede clogs with faux fur lining and are so comfortable. The suede is very supple, so it conforms to my odd feet. I was hoping the bootie would be similar, but it wasn't.
Isn't it funny how two shoes that are exactly the same except for color can fit completely differently? I have a pair of chocolate brown, quilted, ballet flats that feel like slippers. I decided to buy the black pair, although I did not need black flats at the time, and put them aside for future use. Well, the black pair was very tight. There was no larger size, so I was out of luck.
My purple Antthony sweater coat is still in packaging. The green one is on extended delivery and should be shipped around the middle of the month. I have never bought anything from Antthony. He is so nice and really likes his customers.
My foundation brush separated this morning. The bristles came out of the handle. I think I washed it too aggressively. I have another foundation brush that I will use for now but do not like it nearly as much as the other one but will adjust to it to avoid a beauty purchase.
How is everyone doing?

How disappointing that the shoes didn't work out, I really hate that when I am ordering online, just one of the drawbacks. I need shoes desparately and you ladies are making me want to go this weekend. Hopefully, we dont get stormed out. For some reason I love shoes but I hate shopping for them..
Dosey, if the bristles just detached from the ferrell (spell?), try super glueing it back together. It usually holds. That is if you havent tossed it already. However, if the actual hairs came out then you would have to move on. ![]()
I did pretty well in Sept. A couple of purchases but I am using them. I have tthe same goal in Oct, however, a Laura Geller tsv is coming up and I want too try her baked elements foundation so if it is offered, I may be in trouble. But, I have to think through it because I have a few foundations and I really dont even wear what I have so I dont know why I have such a urge for it. I think I might even have to toss a bnb because it looks dried out. I like the bnb but I dont get around to using it.
For anyone facing the possible storm, be safe.
