Just another 'Thank you' to JustBee & everyone. I read through the last page & got a quick hit of motivation...to attack the piles. Have a few days off & haven't been able to get things moving. Reading through the Compact is inspiring & helpful. It's nice to know there are other folks in the same boat. Off to the first room :-)

I'm not working now; no need for a sub now that it is Summer. I am surrounded by items and a trash bag, trying to decide what should go and what should go to Good Will or stay with me. I've about used up my Ole Henrikson African cleanser which I really like. I'll hold off on buying more of it until I finish up the bottle of Purity which was a gift. I'm just not buying any beauty items until I need them. I did buy some new crop pants.

What helps me and keeps me from getting overwhelmed is this:

I take one trash bag and tell myself I have to fill it and then I'm done.

I'll do that when I go out into the yard to pull weeds. Fill the bag and then do something else. That's what I did with the houseplants on Sunday. I chopped until I filled an entire bag -- then I stopped.

My new motto: One bag at a time.

Love the motto! To give you an example, I went through a file and then remembered I was using the car trunk for temporary storage. Now, if I plan to take things to Good Will then I need to clean out the trunk. Out to the car I go to clean out the trunk. I'm now back to the paper work, etc.

It's surprising how common this is. I had cleaned out old papers and magazines from one location and just never got around to getting them out of my trunk. I drove around for YEARS with all this paper in my car. Two problems with that: The weight of that paper and its ultimate destruction. I thought it was so important to keep, but I never put it in its proper spot. Eventually the papers were destroyed just because of the wear and tear of being in a car trunk for years and acting as a liner.

One of the many stupid things we do. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

KonaKat, I am back to no beauty products until I need them myself. It was such a great goal I gave myself last year and I lost sight of that. In a few clicks here and there, the bottles magically appeared. oy vey.

On another note, I now know why I stopped using mu, besides making time for it in the morning, I only used the BE bronzing veil this morning and by the time I left the house, I was so hot and sweaty. I was happy I only used the veil because otherwise I would of been a spotty mess. I missed putting it on though, even just a little bit. So, I will try and make it the last thing I do before leaving the house. Of course, now that summer is on its way, I suppose it wont be any better.

I hope everyone had a good holiday. Mine involved too many desserts. What can you do but go with the flow.

Jim Carrey gave the commencement address at Maharishi University. This is a one minute excerpt from his speech. It is one of the most inspirational messages I have ever heard.

I was channel-surfing and I saw that.

I am disappointed in myself that I do not have a sarcastic response to an infomercial that has taken advantage of another's success. But honestly, I think it is funny!

Hey, Dosey! I wonder if your one-day challenge would work over here. Hmmmmm...

I've spent my morning posting Maya Angelou quotes on Viewpoints and I found one that works for us.
