I even decluttered my dresser drawers and got rid of more things. I am on a roll these last two days. I am getting the decluttering bug again.

It's the end of May Everyone! How are we all doing?

Purchases: 1 Facial Cleanser and 2 Yankee candles (I also ordered some candle supplies, more to come on that in June's thread)

Used up: 4 bar soaps, 1 loofa, 2 Facial Cleansers, 3 Yankee candles, 3 Votive candles, and 1 toothpaste

I had more going out than coming in until the other day. My better half was gifted with 5 1/2 cases of toothpaste. It seems the box design has been changed and these can't be sold. I will see what we have and we will be sharing with the shelter, his relatives, friends, etc. So I don't feel bad about this at all, and I won't have to buy toothpaste "forever"!

Just Bee, I love your last 3 posts. I need those as a daily reminder! Thank you for keeping us going.

A new thread/new month starts tomorrow! {#emotions_dlg.lol}

I'd been thinking about posting these "gentle reminders" on the June thread. Sometimes these graphics really help. I kept one (Better-half created it) where I could see it and it actually helped me get through nursing school. And it at least made me laugh every time I looked at it. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Just another reminder: Your products last much longer than you think.

I finally replaced the shower gel at the kitchen sink. That bottle of philosophy i love candy corn had been there for months. I swear I put it there before autumn kicked in.

And it's not like I don't wash my hands.

I put a Dessert Treats lollipop scent there -- this is a bottle I purchased maybe six years ago. Maybe more. Maybe eight. Nine...

Hey, Dosey! I wonder if your one-day challenge would work over here. Hmmmmm...

Excellent idea! ComPacters, on the Healthy Eating thread, I suggested that on Thursday we do something to improve our health. I am giving up sugar for the day. A tough challenge for me. We could also have a one-day challenge on this thread. Do something that will bring you closer to your compacting goals. It does not have to take all day. If you have been wanting to spend 15 minutes going through paperwork, do it tomorrow. Clean out that linen closet. Tackle the junk drawer. Today, I gave myself a mental thumbs up for not allowing catalogs to accumulate. Yet, there is a stack of papers in my bedroom that taunts me every morning. I have become quite good ignoring it as I walk to the bathroom. Time to stop ignoring it and just take care of it. Yes, Thursday is the day!

Love this idea!!! I'll definitely begin to implement it. Thanks for sharing!

Good afternoon ladies, can't believe another month has passed. I have not done well with the decluttering the so far this year, yes, I did get rid of some stuff but now I really have to get serious. I was looking thru my stuff the last couple days and kept thinking, do I really need 10 tote bags, 20 purses, etc.. etc.. and the answer is no! I have things I haven't used because of have 9 other of the same type thing. So, next month I "hope" to be more brutal in cleaning out. Okay, I will get off my soap box now.

justbee - Love the decluttering reminders, yes, the graphics do make it more clear.

FUTURE - I saw the video and it did leave an impression on me.

Well off to do a little yardwork, our plants really took a hit this past winter, lost all my beautiful rosebushes and need to dig them out and replace them and we also lost a lot of our boxwood bushes. This is going to be an expensive summer replacing items in the yard.

Hope everyone has a great afternoon.

I hear ya! I have to find an arborist to assess our current tree situation. We have some major pruning to do -- a lot of dead and damaged branches.

But I'm terrified that we'll be told that some of our trees will have to be removed. We have a purple robe locust that has been chewed by bugs and I suspect the damage is extreme. It's still beautiful every spring and the bees adore it, but I don't want strong winds to knock it over.

The thought of removing a tree makes me ill. Sometimes I wish we lived in a loft. {#emotions_dlg.sad}
