Dangit! My critter is back. I went through the garage and found more poop.
I called my Better Half, and he said he found a small opossum in the garage this morning. He got it out, and will try to fix the area where he thinks it's coming in.
If that doesn't work, he's going to try to trap it and take it out to the woods.

Ew -- he's wearing Aqua Velva again...

Who can do this? I have always wanted to spend an hour or so looking at the selection but have never done it. That is why I hate my current frames. I wear contact lenses daily but would wear my glasses more often if I liked them.
It's not like the 80s when I could afford to have a different frame for every color in my wardrobe. Glasses were cheap back then and I had multiple pairs. Now one pair has to last -- it's a major investment. If I didn't have vision insurance I'd have to get a dog and a cane.
I gave up contacts a few years ago. I've considered eye surgery, but I figure that at my age that ship has sailed. Our previous dog went blind after his diabetes diagnosis and I didn't hesitate to get new lenses implanted so he could see his sister again. But surgery for me? Nah.
Better-half just cannot understand my fondness for cat's eyes. He doesn't get why anyone would want to look like something Gary Larson would draw.

It is clear that becoming a SAHM was a death sentence to my career. When I finally find a job, I hope the jubilation does not send me on a buying spree. I like this new frugal self!
Hi, Dosey, I liked your post. Isn't it odd how the feeling of being worried about "having enough" can be helped by sorting and deleting what you already have? Seems like it would be the opposite. Perhaps it's about making room in your head -- by making room in your home -- for the next thing to come to you? Making it welcome, so to speak? What if we thought of all the compacting as simply a way to welcome something new, and not necessarily a thing, either--in your case, a new source of income?

I do like that.

You ComPacting Ladies have been busy!
I must confess that I spent over a week hiding at the beginning of the month because my ORC still wasn't done & was hardly started. Then I figured out it was not going to declutter & organize itself. Then I just kept procrastinating...
I need to just do it & I'm declaring June is the month for that. I have actually gotten quite a bit done on my living room & intend to have it completed by the end of the month. THIS month. THIS YEAR. As in JUNE 2014. lol... Just to eliminate room for putting it off...
Other than that, May was OK but not my best month. I made the mistake of watching SKINN and ended up with 3 small skincare kits (over 2 visits) with types of products I had not tried yet (no shower gels or duplicates of things). I am avoiding watching Dimitri's visits this month. lol... While the products are ones I've wanted to try, I would also like to save my money.
I did also buy a new lipstick; Bite Beauty BB for Lips in Suede. It is a nude shade. Very nice. I might try this in another shade, too. I really needed some good lipsticks. I tend to get a couple and use them up. I still need one or two with a bit more color to them. What I seem to accumulate - without buying them or so it seems - is the clear or almost clear glosses & balms. I'm working on using up a couple of those right now. I am using Burt's Bees Revitalizing Lip Balm w/Blueberry & Dark Chocolate at home & before I go walking. I think it came in an Allure Beauty kit a long time ago. The taste alone makes it worth buying.
I used up a few products last month but not many. I did get close on several items.
My goal for June is to keep using things up, buy only things I actually need, and get my Living Room ORC completed. I'm close to using several things up & will either need to purchase facial cleanser close to the end of the month or early next month.
