Another story, DH made a huge batch of sausage and peppers.

The number one reason I'm not a vegetarian. I'm a purist: Sausage and peppers -- no onions.

It doesn't look that bad, does it? In fact, the room that I think of as the "living room" isn't that cluttered. Well, until I get to my desk where I'm sitting now. I have a collection of scraps of paper with cryptic notes to myself. I'll need to address the desk.

The only other clutter is on the floor. I see a squirrel, a rabbit, an elephant, two birds, a snake, a raccoon, a piece of antler, and a Nylabone. Some women decorate their homes according to a specific style or period. I've decorated my house in dog.

Maybe it's time for the dog to get a toy box. Or not. {#emotions_dlg.blushing}

You've just described my LR floor except I see a cow, a crab, an elephant, a bird, a spider and a mutant creature we call duckbunny! We have a BIG basket for the toys but their current favortes wind up on the floor. My kids say the dogs have more toys than they did when they were little. Not quite, but we are working on it. LOL

I used to buy B&BW products all the time. I tried to use the coupons & I'd buy lots at the big sales. When I discovered I had lots left when the next big sale came around I stopped buying so often. Then I stopped buying anything at all. I think it must have been discovering Perlier & Korres and liking those brands better. I went over a year w/o even going in a B&BW store, then stopped in a few times & tried moisturizer from a tester but never found anything I actually was tempted to buy. I kind of miss shopping there but it has lost its appeal.

I am still doing good - not buying things this month other than a few skincare things I ran out of. I'm not in the mood to buy anything right now. Not even clothes!

I forgot to mention his favorite toy -- his favorite because it was his first. A hippopotamus. And now I see a big bone, too. I really don't have a problem with the toys until I step on one in the middle of the night. Especially the ones that squeak. {#emotions_dlg.scared}

Kathie66, I hear ya about the plastic containers. I finally got a big set of those locknlocks that are different sizes but use the same lids, and got rid of everything else. Now I don't have that problem. Every now and then, I buy something that comes in a nice plastic box or tub, and I think, well, this is so nice, maybe I'll keep this and use it. Then I think, oh, am I ever glad we have big recycling bins now and can toss this stuff to be reused. And I toss it with a smile.

I figured I should try the 91 day challenge. Will I have to keep up with other rooms while I focus on the one listed for the week? Yes, but at least those rooms will be in better shape. It helped that the living room wasn't too bad, so I cleaned it tonight. I still need to go through the cabinet next to the tv, but I can get that done over the weekend. At least one room look presentable!

I'm with you kns110, my living room wasn't too bad.

Most of the clutter I got rid of was from the entertainment center (behind closed doors), so you really can't see the impact it made. But I took a lot of stuff out, some of it I had for over 13 years! Some of the stuff was still useable, so tomorrow I'll be taking a box to Good Will. Smile

ETA: I forgot to mention that I'm also working on paper clutter. I removed 87 magazines from the hall closet (that was one big box)! They went to the Church's Day School collection bin for recycling.

I am having a hard time getting motivated but I need to. I really need to tackle my paperwork. I really hate paperwork. I think I will start back up in the winter though. I have basically the hard stuff left and am having a hard time getting to it. I also want to see if I can sell some of my collectibles but it feels like a daunting task and one I am not up to. Plus, I check out similar items on ebay and they really arent selling so I am not even sure it is worth the effort. I guess they get to stay in the closet for now.

On the product front, I am doing pretty good. I am not sure what clicked for me this year but after my buying spree earlier in the year, I am not even tempted to add anything else to my stash. Sometimes, I get an inkling but its not more than that. I can actually read the beauty boards and not be tempted by a thing. I no longer get that "got to have it" angst. I hope everyone is having a great summer and doing well.

I joined the declutter challenge. Fortunately for me, the living room was already in really good shape so with the exception of tossing a few magazines, I didn't really have anything to do in that room.

This week is the kitchen and it's going to be a really busy week for me, so I know I won't be able to get the kitchen totally done. We have lots of cupboards and a big pantry, so I'll be behind in this area, but I hope I can make it up during one of the other weeks or at the end.

Product wise, I'm holding my own. Some is coming in, some is going out. I gave a bunch of makeup to my sister and my niece just because I know I won't be able to use all that I have in a reasonable time.

I still cannot find skincare that I like. I wanted to change from a chemical spf to physical and everything I've tried is either too dry or leaves me too greasy and my skin feels "sticky". I just ordered some Garnier to try, so I guess I'm going back to chemical. It's so frustrating finding products I like.

I did order a SKINN kit in July and I do like the serums so far, we'll see if they make any difference.

Hello All, I have been on vacation. It was nice getting away. Mmom I used Sheisado (sp?) on my trip. I bought the compact which is a physical sunscreen. I know this product line is a bit pricey, but it fit my needs. I will be buying it again.
